Any gun enthusiasts?

Post by Juicy »

Just wondering if anyone had a firearm and if so what kind. If you like hunting or just taking your firearm to the range?

I'll start with my three guns. I have a Winchester Model 1892 in 44-40, 410 bore bolt action shotgun, and a Cooey Model 39 .22

Nah, I buy factory made rounds.

I'm actually from Canada woutr.

My Winchester I inherited from my grandfather after he passed away, it was my great grandfathers rifle before my grandfather had it. Only problem is that I don't know where I can purchase 44-40 shells, I have been looking around and most stores only carry 30-06, .308, .270, 12 guage, etc.

I'd love to have a firearm that I could use to shoot for fun/sport but it's all so strict here. My bro does own a desert eagle/colt/CZ/revolver (not sure what kind) and another pistol hehe. But you can only fire them on firing ranges and you have to go there atleast 17 times a year to keep your license and shiet...

Since I live in the middle of nowhere I am kind of bending the rules a little bit... I don't have a firearms licence and have been discharging my firearms for target practice and killing pests such as chipmunks, squirrels, gophers, and snakes. I only use my .22 to kill the small stuff otherwise there would be nothing left of them if I was using my 44-40 hahaha.

Gun laws here are really strict here to and i think 99% of the population of this country wants guns under licence banned or atleast vieuw poeple who own guns "With a Licence" As a criminal. to get a gun licence here they don't only look at your history but at your familiy's history aswell you have to get a code of good conduct from the local goverment and then you need to get a Psychological evaluation ( atleast in my province ) and then the police still can say no if they feel like it lol.

You also have to be active at a gun club for atleast a year and have been shooting there for quite a few times.

Here in Canada, you only need to pass your respective gun safety course to be eligible for a Firearms Licence. Then you fill out paperwork with your personal information, references, etc. Mail all of that in to the Firearms office with a photo of yourself and a signed guarantor saying it looks like you, then they do background checks and issue your Licence. The whole process can take up to 2 months.

Canada had also abolished the Long-gun registry, so your typical hunting rifle, you don't need to register anymore. Any restricted or prohibited firearms need to be registered for legal use.

I've had the (American)M1-Carbine(lot cheaper than the M1) and an (British)Enfield, but now I'm down to just having a(Russian)Mosin-nagant 762x54 and a (German)mauser kar98 for my WW2 battle rifles collection. Wanted to get a (Italian)carcano (gun that killed Kennedy)but never got around to it, and the (Japanese)Arisaka type 99, but couldn't find a good conditioned one.

I have since grown out of the old WW2 era rifles, but it was fun to try and find these rifles. Most of them are cheap and look great up in the gun case, and they all shoot pretty decent.

Back on topic, I have quite a collection(being from Texas) of firearms: Colt 1911 .45 and an ACE .22(Really expensive 1911 looking .22)/ Colt .38 Diamondback / a bunch of .22-.45 pistols from S&W to Taurus / Remington 300 win mag (decked out for long range "sniping")/ Remington .22-250 / savage 270 and a few other hunting rifles(Won't go into scopes) / A couple of Rem. 870 model shotguns and one really old 10 gauge sawed off/ Then just about every .22 rifle you can think of, I've probably got it.

I personally love the 1911 style pistols and really anything colt, but for concealed carry I usually have my Springfield XD, which just seems to have a better fit and feels more comfortable.

lol forgot one of my favorites, the Colt AR-15 which I take out to the river almost anytime I go! Never know when the zombies are gonna be coming!

This. I own a Colt AR-15 also, tis my favorite weapon. Few others: Remington .270, Winchester 30-30 lever, winchester 20g auto shotgun, winchester Ducks Unlimited Edition 20g pump (looove it). Those are mine, I could write a book of all the guns distributed throughout my family.

In b4 location. :D
