I decided to install Skyrim after getting a gaming PC. But once I started playing it ran at like 15-20 fps. My PC can run everything at Ultra High without dropping under 50 fps. But Skyrim is too laggy
Have you tried tinkering with the settings? If it's still lagging it could be some other application on ur pc that's hogging it. I have lower stats than you and I play fine. I heard the FXAA can slow it down so uncheck that if it's checked. But yea, sounds more like you have other stuff hogging your resources.

Shaders are usually the lag inducer in games. If there's no option for the shaders ingame look for a file in the program folder where you can change some values for settings to lower them...

Download the latest drivers, or even upgrade to beta drivers. Make sure your HDD is defragged (skyrim uses the HDD alot) run some software like msi afterburner and see if you see some irregular activity See if there a known issues with your video card (gtx 600 series isn't enough info...the 670? 680?) make sure all your mods are disabled <---doubt this is the problem
