Please, cut him some slack. If I was in his position I'd feel sorry for him too. Here's a guy who obviously so void of meaning and friendly support that 'dark-gaping-void-in-his-chest' by telling his mediocre stories to a bunch of gamer; stereotypically the type of people who just don't care for real life social events. I mean, if I was in your shoes I'd be pretty upset too, knowing the only people you can turn to for support and comfort are just teasing and mocking you. It must make you feel very sad, I know I'd feel sad if I was you.
