Meh... it was either chaud and company frakking it up now or some other loozerz frakking it up later. The exploit was there, might as well get it aired out now.

It's not whether you need it or not and you're right, you all certainly don't. Im not accusing anyone of gold duping since this is the first time ive heard of it occuring on SRO. But an exploits an exploit, thats why it bothered me that you bash someone using an in-game bug when your guild has used the de-suit trick on more than one occasion treating it like part of the game. May not been you personally but like you said it's a co-op.

This just caught my attention. Lies! When someone made a post how someone asked them to buy silk, and gave them ID and PW, they changed it, and clean her out. Took all items and money. You said you would do the same! Hm...

No, sorry. Just because you FIND an exploit, doesn't mean you HAVE to exploit it. I certainly wouldn't exploit it if I was the one to find it. I WOULD report the bug to Joymax, but I wouldn't exploit it. To me, Chaud and anyone else who hacks this game is no better than the botters. I don't care if you hack while in-game, or running SQL injections or other attacks on Joymax's servers. Don't abuse the system.

If you don't like the way the game works, or don't like how the company is running the show, play something else.

Did do a lot of grinding this weekend(made L64), wouldn't like it if this was for nothing because we get a rollback. On the other side prices inTroy are inflating enough even without extra gold.

If CHAUD realised he was going to get banned for duping the gold, I think it's a bit pointless laughing at him for it.

and CHAUD, did you start buying stuff off CCFers once you realised that holders of dupe gold were getting banned? If that's the case, it would have been a brilliant way to remove both the CCFer's characters and their items from the game.

If your motive was to get Joymax moving, you could have probably done it with a bit more tact

if it was to get the CCFers and botters banned for holding your duped gold, you sir, are a genious.

If you were just buggering around once you realised that your account was toast, then away with you!

I personally don't know any of you well enough to draw conclusions, but seriously, you all need to chill. The economy in an online game isn't the end of the world, and all the duped gold will be deleted anyway.

Curiousity got the best of me and I got thinking...

Since, chaud is vehemently denying third-party programs, I prematurely conclude that the dupe was performed via a loophole in SRO

I freely admit right now that I run more than one instance of SR at one time NOT using 3x**'s client (there are other simpler ways) and on occasion I accidently attempt to log in to the same account twice. Usually when I do this, the result is the second client stalling in the login authentification stage indefinately.

This was all very normal until a few days again when I made the same mistake again and lo behold, I saw a slight change in the usual login message. It said something along the lines of "This account is already logged in. Try again in 5 minutes".

Anyway, before this 'fix' was integrated, I think it would have been easy to pull the so called 'dupe' off without problem with some good timing :wink:

that allows you to travel back in time, so to speak.

I think there would have been a less damaging way to fix the exploit and leave with a bang.
But it was how it was and we can do nothing about it. I'm accusing nobody because chaud and his mates did know they would be banned for this and the duped money would be deleted anyway.
But botters and that kind of evil stuff still remains in the game while this exploit and its exploiters are gone.

If you truly were as legit as you say, and you and your guild had intended to quit as you say. 1. I did not dupe any gold on my lvl 70, after we did it once, and 3/4 that had some duped gold on their accnt were banned, I decided I would be banned shortly and then did not care any longer.
2. The dupe does not need multiple clients, all done with actions + buttons in the game. A stupid little thing that they overlooked allows billions of gold.
3. I didn't realize people were getting banned until someone PMed me, and I realized most of the stalls I remember buying from were gone. Oops if you were legit.
4. I will really miss sro, I worked 5 + mnths to get 70 and almost SP farmed. I didn't do this on a whim. I am tired of people buying ccfed silk, gold botters, the whole bot union on babel. On other servers it appears different, legit can win, while on babel it is usually 10vs50 in any activity, and getting beat by ccfers like burner was pointless.
5. I did buy from lots of ccfers stalls, and bought up plenty of 8th deg sos.

6. I could have done it slowly, injecting 100m into econ a day, inflating prices over a month, causing a 1mnth rollback, or bad gameplay if that is what I intended. I did not intend for all this to happen.

7. JOYMAX IS STUPID. This is such an easy 10 min fix lol, change a few lines of code and it is done. Too bad they apparently after like 6 inspections cnanot figure it out. If it is not fixed, look for a compensation event at DW s gate lol...

-.- Even you Chaby can see how different those two things are. Yes, if you were dumb enough to give me your ID and PW, begging me to buy you silk, you would relog to find some things missing and Avalon a little richer. How that compares with using an ingame exploit to ruin the economy and possibly get innocent ppl banned is beyond me.

As for me i woke up at 7:30am this morning to find inspection on. now it is 4:00pm and i am just home from skool. Thats 8 and a half hours of inspection. If there isn't something amazing there when i get back. JM is gonna have one hell of a bug report
