More likely nobody knows how to help you. Can you post a screenshot of the error message? Are you all patched up to version 1.030? Did this error start right after you installed a patch? If so, have you tried reinstalling and downloading the manual patcher?

Bakemaster, I can't seem to figure out if npgl.Check() is a file belonging to the nProtect programme or the actual coding of silkroad itself.

About this particular problem, it is not that no one wants to help but it is better to be sure about what help we're giving than blindly give a solution that -might- work. I would suggest posting this problem to the official SRO forum.

Ok, this is a long shot but those of you who encountered an this particular error, do you have any other online game installed on your computer? Particularly online games that uses GameGuard (nProtect) such as Gunbound etc.

i have an idea
yesterday i was confused because of "0" error
i found that the game will hang only if gameguard omit updating and authenticating process
thats not all
the error appear only if i havent open SYSTWEAK AD POPUP BLOCKER (part of advanced system optimizer)
i havent noticed error with this applicvation opened

That's what another Techie at work pointed out as well. That there are programmes that root itself "deeper" in the system, such as anti-spyware, anti-virus (norton is an example), pop up blockers, that restrict things like GameGuard.

He said that it is possible, though I didn't see how and disregarded it. Ok, so you got your problem solved.

[edit] I'll do a more technical explanation (made into simple english) at a later time. No promises that it will work for everyone, but it might help some of the users who encounter such errors.
