A female protagonist in AC3 would be interesting. We hardly get female protagonists

In Embers, she had something weird on her right wrist. There was no bracelet, just a leather piece on the inside of her wrist attached with 3 leather strips. And there were 3 weird blade like things on the inside of her wrist they had tips on both ends and had a cutting edge on both sides. Are they some kind of throwing knives? They would be a bit hard to hold in hand though.

Is there any other way to know the storyline details in AC, AC Brotherhood, other than playing them? don't want to play 2 full parts to know what's going on.

I think you could search for the storylines, but still, the best option would be playing them. Not much of an experience if you just read someone's version of what happened. There is a lot of room for different interpretations in many situations in the story.

I know brotherhood has an official novel. However, the story in it is completely from Ezio's point of view. It doesn't have Desmond nor any animus related stuff.
