So what's the verdict here people? Is this game really worth the time and effort that a MMO requires? Does it have the potential, with future updates, to really be an exciting gaming experience? Does it prove to be better than it's more polished competitors? Or should I just be patient and wait for GW2 to be released?

Looks like they've missed the opportunity to bring some changes to MMOs in general. Combat seems as clunky as the rest of them. Hate me for saying this, but this game was deemed the only real competitor to GW2 and from what I've seen, it's nothing impressive. The game does look fun nonetheless.

I'm not one to judge a game without playing it though, so awaiting your opinions. :)

The only thing I'm even remotely curious about is end game PVE. If the raids suck or there is little to no end game PVE, it's not even worth looking at.

That's usually in huttball.. I hate huttball.

I play with 3 other guildmates, and out of all the games we played this week, we only lost just once.

Based on what I found, raids (or operations as they're referenced in game) are comprised of 8 or 16 players. There are three levels of difficulty: normal, hard, and nightmare.

At release, there are two raids: The Eternity Vault and Karagga's Palace. The Eternity Vault has five encounters, and so far 4/5 has been cleared in nightmare mode. Karagga's Palace only has one encounter and will be expanded with more later on.

Wish they had some kind of 10 days free trial.

My friends and I are debating if we should actually get the game. Right now, you pretty much have to pay 60$ for a month trial.

Might be smart to check that link when you wanna buy a game and not sure if you can run it or not.
