Depends on where you live. In Belgium, all money that's won via the official lottery is taxfree. Not sure how it works in Canada.

I play with my mom, I give her money and she picks numbers.

You pick a 4 digit number and you can win either in order or in any order. She played the 4 digit number in order and a bunch of combinations not in order. So really she just has a bunch of small cheap tickets that add up to 30,000. I'm not sure how much she put on each ticket, but it cost her $20. It's $5,000 for $1 in order but like I mentioned, she divided the $20 into a bunch of smaller tickets with the same 4 single digit numbers. She does this because it increases the chance of winning dramatically.


For those that don't understand... if the number was 1234 she would have played 1234, 2341, 3412, 4123, etc. All of them in combination except for 1 ticket (the actual number that came out) which is why the pot was so big.

Other mentions: You don't pay tax for lottery in Canada + I don't actually get 30000, we are splitting it.

My family is actually pretty lucky with stuff like this. Earlier this year my mom won an SUV but she took the cash (50,000+); every time I go to the casino with my mom we hit multiple jackpots.

We both play at the same time and I manage the money so we only play the money that we have already won while skimming a portion into carry-home. Last 2 times I went to the Casino with her we both left with 1k +.

This picture is from my last trip. It's not a huge pot but we win multiple times in one night, play two machines, and split everything.

In that case enjoy it while it lasts. These things come and go. When I was a kid my family was like that. Would win jackpots and lottery stuff almost every other week. Now it's rare we win anymore so we all quit.
