Also, to the discussion about whether or not our open beta chars will be deleted, read this:
"Silkroad R has lots of challenges and activities in stored for travelers especially to those who come early."

This basically states that there will not be a wipe. Else they would not write "to those who come early". I mean, that would make no sense.

Like 10 times faster then iSRO or 5 times ?

That is to come later.

Anyway, it's not 5 times. Probably more like 2 times isro rates. At SRO-R it takes 14b exp to get from 120 to 121. In Silkroad it takes 19B to get from 111 to 112.
So yeah, it's way faster.

Also downloading. Been looking for a fun PC game to play, it's been 3/4 years since I last played any game on a PC. Downloaded Skyrim, but I guess offline RPG's aren't really my thing. I am looking forward to GW2, but I guess I'll give this Silkroad-R a try. Had some good times on Silkroad back in the days. It's fun that everyone starts fresh = no inflation, equal chances, active communities

I don't think I'll keep on playing it, but I'll certainly give it another try.

Depends, if it starts on the 20th (I'm from Aus, and they run Korean Time) then yeah, 4 hours. Otherwise it'll be open normal inspection times?

The routine in the installer only checks for the date.

So if the joymax server says "hey installer, it's december 20th", the installer will free the way

In order to maintain a pleasant gaming and smooth patching experience, all servers will be undergoing weekly server inspection.

Weekly server inspection will occur every Tuesday.

Game Inspection Period : December 20, 2011 13:00 (Joymax Standard Time)

I'll wait till I hear from Dutchy or Kush on how it really is. Not sure if anyone from my uni is going. I really hate the entire idea of SRO-R but I'll make a char and try it out. Dutch and Kush are known not to bullshit and exaggerate so they'll give me the honest scoop on it.
