If you already have a wolf, do NOT buy one! You can just purchase the evolve thingy for the same amount of silk (130) and it will turn your Wolf into whatever pet you want. The good thing is you'll keep the lvl. So if your pet is currently lvl 102, you can turn it into a lvl 102 Phoenix for example
Just a little reminder for those who didn't know.
And also, it seems you have to be in the pets range in order to mount it. At least I cannot mount mine yet.
I logged on. You sure about that? The packs looks more like it was for boosting the power of the pets. I didn't think it was for keeping the pets alive... kinda annoying. Prob be better to get a trade-able pet since they always give out clocks and stuff every 6 months. Can you still trade the pets or is it account bound once you swap it over?

Yeah, you're right.
I just purchased the items. When you do, you get a new set of items for your Fellow pet, which increases it's defense and attack. Besides, it will bezerk when you bezerk, and it also enables you to mount the pet (it's extremely fast).

Am i getting it wrong or did you say that you got to buy those items to be able to ride the pet.
It would suck if you got to buy those silk items every 3 months to be able to ride it.
So in the first week in college i went with jeans and the pajama's shirt. Didn't notice what i was wearing till after i returned home.

AHHH now it makes sense. You need it to mount. It's like a saddle. Lulz.

Yes, TheInvisible, you have to purchase it every 3 months, but it's only 60 silk per 3 month. That's not a lot, really. I mean, 20 silk per month.
Anyway, guys. I can only highly recommend to take a GOOD look at the pet system as it is explained at the silkroad website before buying any of these Fellows. Some of them are certainly best for int chars, some best for str chars (look at the skills of the pets).

I see, yeah i know 60 silk/3 months isn't a lot, was just a bit surprised that you got to buy items to ride them, but joymax is sometimes smart in finding ways to make people buy there items >_<

You making fun of me xD?
Nah, I was actually being serious. Even though I see how this pretty much mixes with what we were discussing on Vent
And yeah, these pets are really fast. No need for any horsies anymore
So I cannot choose the pet I want and then select how I want it to be. As a blader I guess I'd have to get the fvcking DIGIMON!!! And yes it is a digimon cuz Joymax is doing something Digimon related on its site. I wanted the Hound or the Jag. Dammit.

Who said you have to get the one that increases your shitty dmg? You can always get the one the hound. It'll help reduce mag dmg.

It is true, SNAPPA, but as Goseki said, you don't HAVE to chose that pet. I think you should chose whatever you want. I mean, none of the pets will make you any weaker

I get that.
I just wish you can assign it's attributes to what fits your build instead of it coming pre-set.
So we can turn any existing pet into one of the new pets? If so that's epic lol
Would've been cool to have seen a more in depth pet system, maybe allowing for more custom skills to make your pet unique. Maybe even allowing a creation page when you first buy one to alter minor physical features, like height, color and features etc
