Is this a good Gaming PC I was thinking of buying it tomorrow on black friday, but how will it fair with high end games such as MW3?

Re: Is this a good deal?
it will play mw3 just fine as it's not a high end game
it will play games alright, go for it for but don't expect upgrade to without having to payout extra (more than just the item you want to upgrade)

Re: Is this a good deal?
What do you recommend then? I want something that is easily upgradeable, but won't go over 500$.. And I want to be able to buy it tomorrow.
Or if you can recommend something from bestbuy.com I can buy it in person :@

Re: Is this a good deal?
It is a solid computer for the price,
However, looking more into it, i found the motherboard and when i looked at the pictures from the NewEgg site i discovered it's a tiny tiny motherboard. Which will make upgrading cards in the future a hassle, and i don't think you can x-fire.
Furthermore, the 500w power is pretty adequate for today's cards. However, i see them moving more and more into the 550 - 650 range. So your PSU might need to be replaces as well in the future when upgrading.
Have you thought about Purchasing one yourself online? Building one?

I do have that as an option but I need help picking the parts and stuff. Someone posted a guide on building your own but I couldn't find some of the parts.
If someone can post the parts + links to one that would be <500$ and can run games well I'd purchase it in a second

Re: Is this a good deal?
Here is one i threw together, it's pretty decent for the price, there was some BlackFriday deals in there, but im trying to get something closer to you 500 mark.
Btw, i've never used that website before, it was just the manufacturer of the comp you first linked.
http://www.cyberpowerpc.com/saved/1DNUQD
I'll check NCIX, i just ordered my comp through them.
Just be aware though, HDs are expensive as crap now. about 100bucks for 500gb. Due to the flooding in Thailand.

Mail In Rebates.
So, you pay a little extra now, but you get cash back when you send in a form.

Re: Is this a good deal?
For example:
http://us.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=59616
You pay 79.99 now, and get 30 bucks later when you send in:
http://www.mirhelp.com/wp-content/uploa ... -30-11.pdf
Edit:
Man i keep getting in the bloody 600-700 range.
What you should do Squirt it look at NCIX, throw some things into your Shopping cart as you see what you might want to build.
Here is what i built so far:
I'm going to have to run soon, but here is also the Build Guide that was posted before:
Hope someone can maybe build off the info i've given you so far and help you out with this. Have you looked at your local computer shops in town and see what they have for Black Friday deals?

I wouldn't mind dipping into 550$
And I don't quote understand what MIR does for the consumer. Do I get a 100% payback for the MIR?

Not 100%, but what they offer. So if they say it's a 30$ back MIR. Then you get a cheque for 30$.
Also, added more to above response.

Re: Is this a good deal?
I think it's going to run very well.
Like my build is very similar as well, just with 2GB of Video and a little more GHz in my CPU.
Here is a video maybe you want to look at:
BF3 is the game to Benchmark with today, and you will be able to run quite smooth on your 6850.
Like i said though, i know there are people here with much more experience than i do in building, and definitely never take my build as your build. My needs could be different to your needs, and you should definitely look into building your own tower.
Also, a draw back is that this doesn't bring an OS, where as the pre-built ones most likely do. Ergo more cash money being dropped.

Re: Is this a good deal?
Don't just order the one i built.
Definitely look at it yourself, look at the parts i picked and what others suggest, what you want and what you might be able to find elsewhere.
I think most likely you are going to be in the 600 range for a decent PC, and also look at Intel builds, i build AMD, but for all i know im missing out on Inter / NVidia

Hi
60 GB SSD @60
Core i5 2500k $200
8GB RAM 30$
MSI 1155 motherboard $99 AFTER MIR
OCZ 650W power supply $50
ASUS GTX 550 Ti (with a free t shirt yay) $100
Stupid looking Case $50
TOTAL PRICE: $600 + tax
GOOD: You get a very, very good CPU. The SSD makes everything load very fast, everything feels 'snappier'. Computer start time is something around 0.042 seconds. The graphics card can run newer games on medium/high settings, nothing exceptional although it was the best price/preformance I saw.
BAD: The motherboard is $100. I don't know if you'll want to place another graphics card in the future and SLI them (run 2 side by side for greater preformance). I also don't know how many PCI slots you need. Other motherboards can potentially save you another $50.
MORE BAD: 4 products have mail in rebates. MIR's are FINE if you follow the instructions ONE HUNDRED PERCENT and mail them in ON TIME. If you spell your name wrong or leave out a comma somewhere they WILL DENY IT. On the plus side, getting money in the mail weeks (read 2 months) later feels like getting a present randomly.
EVEN MORE BAD: I only picked out a 60GB SSD. No harddrive. Due to what KeyJ already mentioned (the flood in southeast asia) harddrive prices are very high. I'd wait until they don't cost both of your arms and then buy one.
OTHER: I didn't pick out an optical drive (cd drive), nor a mouse, keyboard, speakers, monitor, etc. I assume the only thing from the above that you need is an optical drive which can be bought at local PC store for $20 or less. All parts are from newegg AND are part of the blackfriday sale they are currently having. ALL parts have free shipping to my knowledge. If you want a better graphics card, I suggest lowering the CPU to an 1155 core i3 and going for possibly a GTX 560 ti.
If you have no idea what to buy, or are stuck between two things (say a gtx 550 vs ati 6850), just google 'gtx 550 vs ati 6850' and look at the first few links.
If any of the links are messed..let me know and I'll fix em after, I'll check back on this post since you said you want to buy tomorrow and time is..of the essence.

Edit: $614.94 in total without the SSD.
I will buy the build tomorrow, does anyone else have any other suggestions?
Edit: Do you guys also recommend I lower the CPU and get a better graphics card?

This. Have basically the same setup and it's beastly. I'm sure you can find some benchmarks online with a 2500K AND 550Ti to see how it plays certain games.
Re: Is this a good deal?
I strongly recommend an SSD. It's probably the biggest difference maker. That being said, yes you can use the 100GB HDD from your old computer. Just to give you some context, in the past 15(?) years, harddrives have been one of, if not the, slowest to change and match the performance gains of other parts in a computer.

Re: Is this a good deal?
Well,
SSDs are really good because they are so fast, and currently unfortunately getting Hard Drives is going to be expensive because of the flooding in Thailand.
If my 500g HD didnt come to 99bucks, i would have gotten an SSD as well for Boot.
