With several people firing machine guns, rifles etc. It will cause a lot more noise too go off thus more zombies will hear and make their way towards the noise. With that, the army most likely won't think to fire where if one guy is reloading another guy can cover him, and they will all go out of ammo around the same time, thus making weak points in the defense. One lone zombie gets into that weak point which would make the soldiers around them have to focus on that one zombie, creating a domino effect for letting the zombies get in.
Where as one guy firing a shot won't be as loud and not drawing as many zombies towards him. and he would be less likely to get surrounded because he isn't like a giant circle of people which zombies are more likely too surround.
I doubt that the army is trained to keep constant fire going Not to mention all the SAW's and Humvee or APC mounted 50 call's that would shred throug the zombie's aswell. And then you have to consider Grenade's mortars etc etc

They wouldn't nuke anything, because then you just destroyed everything including the land plus then you probably have radioactive zombies lol. They could level the city if they feel like that they must, but doing so well then you've done billions of damage to the city. Seems silly to think about the city, but if everything blows over then you could just clean up the area instead of rebuilding.

Prolly just use MOAB's and ALLOT of napalm i really could see the army doing that, But then again i can see the army using tactical nukes if it really gets outa hand destroy a small part of the country to save the rest

Personal opinion; however, I don't feel you've seen many actual soap operas to be comparing so spot on to this show. With what's usually on television nowadays, this is a fresh breath.
It's a drama about what fringes humanity can go to amidst an apocalyptic world. Yeah, the end of the world deal has been done to death, but many of those didn't focus on the changing relationships between survivors.
We should stop treating people like objects, or at least treat our objects with more respect.
Haven't seen Sophia for a few episodes now, but she still manages to irritate me every week. Show up as a frigging zombie or let everyone else move on.

I also thought they they were the infected family members, considering that would probably be the only reason they would keep them locked up in a barn for so long. I just wonder how they havent heard them before when Rick suggested they stay inside the barn lol
The only thing that got me about the cliffhanger is, why weren't the zombies stirring when andrea took the shot, that was a loud rifle and it woulda mustered something up among the walkers if they are attracted to sound.

Andrea is getting better imo, not as bitchy as she was in the earlier episodes, and I kinda start to understand Shane and the way he thinks. Rick isnt made for the zombie world while Shane is.
