It should auto lock on to locations/vehicles, thats how it was in MW2. Maybe you have to hold fire button to lock on and fire it when you release it?
There's a min/max range the RPGs can lock on with.
I'm really starting the hate this game ffing wouldn't work reinstalled it 3 times nothing downloaded mozzila to play it i can play some games but the co-op and the quickmatch functions don't work anymore =.=

I don't want to bash anyone, but many people bought it due to the hype and never playing a Battlefield game. Suddenly they regret their purchase, because it's nothing like their favorite, Call of Duty. Whatever floats your boat I suppose.

Edit: How do I make the IGLA/STINGER lock on to land vehicles? I've only been able to lock on it air vehicles Editx2: nvm, they're only AA launchers I love shooting the air vehicles and then watching the pilots lose control and crash.

I unlocked the soflam today. I like to think of myself as a team player; so on Kharg Island, I ran to the construction site, planted down a spawn beacon, ran to the roof, planted down my soflam right at the corner, ran back down and proned under some stairs. All I did that game was just target vehicles, but apparently nobody on my team was a fucking engineer with an IGLA/Stinger. I finished the game with like about 1600 points or something, 300 from targeting, and the rest from neutralizing/capturing points. http://battlelog.battlefield.com/bf3/ba ... 192943601/
^ Added you. I didn't realize it was you the first time lol. I used the Soflam a little bit, but it doesn't benefit my team at all so I switched back to the Spawn/Radar beacons. I'd imagine that it would be very helpful in Caspian Border.

What timezone are you in and how often do you play?
My wet dream is to have a 3 engineer, 1 recon team. SOFLAM everything, and watch as your team shoots every vehicle in the air and ground down I wish they gave you extra points for SOFLAM'ing something and then having somebody take it down.

Me and DOM were messing with the Soflam a while back but its only for poeple with the Javlin missle and as far as i heard ( Could see ) when you use soflam with the javlin it does 95% damage and with the soflam you can also target planes with the javlin. Sux thoug you only carry like 3 missle's
I found out something intresting today, You can Target/Lock on to Mortars with a Javlin missle something i did not know yet and already am enjoying allot!
