New Pet System

So, Joymax announced today on the korean version a new system for the pets. Basically you can buy different stuff for your pets, tattoos, skills, armors, and that stuff, everything from item mall ofc. Also you will be able to ride some growth pets like they were ponys! Finally something interesting. Together with the info they released some pictures of them.

As I understood, those pets can both attack and be riden, but they cannot do both at the same time, which means you can't attack while you are riding it.

After this update should come the Arabian update, new race! yey!

Maybe they could get upgraded.

Or

They will keep the old ones without new stats, well there isn't a logical reason to remove the old pets anyway.


There isn't a 100% Confirmation till it gets added to Ksro or Isro or something though.



Hope that joymax doesn't mess this one up like it's other recent updates.

Any paying customer has atleast a 100+ char by now I bet.

It sounds interesting. Riding them too, pretty awesome.

Well, this is only an assumption. But i hope it is true.

But the system looks promising, looking forward to it. There will be more pets than that though. But the only part i don't like is the Item Mall part. Maybe they could put all this tatoo stuff and bonuses into Item Mall, but i'd like to ride my pet.

I listened through all the pet sounds in KSRO pk2 and i can say they are not pretty.
The pets in the pk2 are(the code names) Bear, Bird, Cat, Dinosaur, Dog, Dragon, Ostrich.
Ostrich's sounds are kinda funny.

I can't export these files out for you to listen because YoyMax's Pk2 Tools doesn't have any export function, only open, delete and import. And that other Pk2 Tools doesn't show many of the folders there(including the pet sounds folder).
But i could export the emoticon sounds that have never been used(maybe in alpha they were).

Seems that would depend, partly, on how the current pets are coded. Classes derived from other classes?

The new pets have their own buy/sell window altogether. The item shown on the pic is a weapon thingy i suppose. They have different lvl ones there.

I believe you'll need to buy more silk to actually upgrade your pet. There will be stickers, attack skills, etc....

Joymax should concentrate on casual players not hardcore..... i used to spend quite alot (50-60USD per month), but if i would ever come back i would not spend more than 100silk. Casual players can bring much more money than few hardcore noobs. I doubt new players would like to spend so much money, just to be able to compete( proof stones ) and be able to reach max lv

The jaguar and the Phoenix look cool actually, I am wondering if they will add 1 sample "riding,attacking" pet in the stable, like the grey wolf.

But i don't think it will happen D:
