Could of swore we had a thread for this game, anyhow.

Just got it after my friend almost begged me to get it so I could play with him. I'll be honest, at first I was skeptical about dishing 50$ for what seemed to be a really slow-paced game. Of course, the game is awesome afterall.

Never played the previous Civilizations so can't compare with them but I'm really liking this one. Love the whole politics & society aspect of the game. So far, I've had a blast playing single player. Montezuma is a little bitch though, we were BFF and then he just backstabbed me a turn after we agreed we'd attack Warsaw .

Any tips for a newcomer to the series?

You want to stockpile on markets, farms, roads. Cities is an obvious thing to go for. Build forts outside of your boundary. Use heavy ranged attacks to capture cities. Become friends/allies with city-states so you can get free units to kill them with and resources


I'm a military kind of person so I've build up large modern armies so I can be safe from wars and barbarians
