Could you point to the research conducted? So far, you've provided statistics with no citations and an inexplicable link to shirts of poor taste, so the topic is really only being discussed around your hearsay and nothing more.

I don't know what it is about these topics that turn people into prudish women, clutching their pearls in shock while speaking through some pretense of nobleness. It feels like quite the disconnect to be discussing how prim and proper females and future offspring should dress when it's most likely that participants will later be relieving themselves to images of women posing naked in submissive positions. The entertainment industry is, cleverly enough, made up of entertainers not babysitters, and it really irks me when parents throw a morally outraged hissy fit when the world isn't conforming to the needs of their spawn. It is not an entertainer's responsibility to teach anyone anything. Parents who are unable or unwilling to teach their children critical thinking and using their judgement are usually always the first to pass the buck as to who is to blame for their child's stupidity.

I'm not sure why anyone feels women should dress to please anyone but themselves, as this discussion keeps implying. How little or how much women wear is entirely their choice and to sit here and pass judgement seems incredibly denigrating. Is it possible that women's fashion sense has been more sexualized?
