Anyway, Minecraft got a new update a few days ago.
Sleeping in a bed will reset your spawn location, you can hang still on a ladder while holding shift, Spiders can't trample crops anymore, you can bake cookies, but best of all..


You can tame a wolf. Or a whole pack of them, as currently there isn't a limit on how many wolves you can tame. You can find them in a Forest or Taiga biomes, and if you feed them enough bones they will follow you forever.
They can assist you in fighting, teleport if you are separated, and if it's low on health - you can tell if its tail is hanging - you can feed it porkchop to heal it.


I'm working on building the house from Pixar's Up. I got the house - exterior that is - pretty much finished, but the balloons are taking forever. Each time I have to get new dye and wool and I am just so bored of climbing onto that stupid structure I made to add more.
When it's finished, all the dirt blocks will be removed so it floats in the sky.
Captain Puffy's hot air balloon is going to be demolished too.

It's the Gerudoku Texture Pack, it's very similar to Doku's, and can be downloaded here.

They don't have a new texture for the Wolf yet, but I kind of like the standard version too lol.

Anyway, anyone here made something awesome with redstone? I just finished a big minecart system with collision detection on the straight parts and fully working roundabouts where people can't crash into eachother either Playing with 6 friends. (I host it myself).

Also made some other stuff but nothing really worth mentioning.

Any of you familiar with Garry's Mod's popular mod called Wiremod? For those who are, I spent about 1000 xfire ours on there programming chips and wiring up gates to do things, I can NO longer wait for these pistons, finally we can create some serious contraptions

And also, 1.8 is going to be a very big patch (his own words) and it will contain a levelling and experience system! ZOMG.

That guy I posted all those vids from showed a vid of a guy who made a typewriter. You could put like 8 letters into the memory max and it would 'write' them one after eachother on a display.

Yeah that stuff is insane. There are some even more complicated projects out there as well.

In Garry's Mod making these kind of contraptions is much easier though, but it doesn't come with the awesome atmosphere of minecraft

Would love to check that shit out sometime, the minecart track that is.

Build a pretty nice house today but it was in alpha and wasn't logged in so couldn't save it. (laptop is too bad to properly run mc beta xD)

Anyone experienced at making mob spawners/traps? I have a 15x15x8 room I'm trying to turn into a spawner, which will drown the mobs then deposit their drops into a room in the main building below.
