Re: Congradulations New York!
Social revolution: 1 Religion: 0
Religion is increasingly loosing it's grip on society as a whole. More and more people care less about what's "conventional" these days and they're starting to define and follow their own path. If you look at the way the old society expects us to live you will see that a lot of it has it's origin from religion. Times are changing and so are the minds of the new generation. This is too funny and good at the same time.

I am definitely going to watch the news in the morning to hear people bitch about this. Perfect addition to a healthy breakfast.

I'm reading the facebook comments on Queens(NY) page and it's very interesting to see that the group is roughly divided to 50/50. Nearly half the posts are opposed to same sex marriage. One would think that people from NY would be more open to diversity and letting others exercise their freedom of choice. If the majority can be ambivalent enough to ignore old homeless people begging for money/food in the subway, they shouldn't care about these things that don't concern them as well - just let them be.

Welcome to the civilized world, New York! If only the rest of your 'world leading' country could follow that example.

Some people want to stab all gays. But gays didn't do any damage to me yet, so I don't see why should I feel sad while reading this.

It's a "meh" for me, should be interesting to see if Minnesota follows suit. Minneapolis is relatively active for gays too, it's pretty common to see two guys holding hands downtown.

Your argument can be interpreted as "gays are no problem, you can just ignore them and act as if they don't exist, just like hobos man!"

Bad contrast? lol. Well, you sort of get what I'm aiming at, I hope. I'm saying that if people can choose to ignore things that they should pay attention to (in a perfect world
I hope that was a better explanation.

Don't have too much faith... With someone like Michele Bachmann in politics I don't see it happening anytime soon.

Yeah, but Dayton is governor, hope they balance out a little bit.
Right now more worried about a gov't shutdown here.
