Has anyone had a truly "FUN" fight in awhile?

I was bored today so decided to pvp with some friends. It was fun at first, just hanging out, watching ppl fight 1v1. After awhile, the usual happens. Angry turk loses, invites more friends from the big Turk Unions, ends up a silly 8v4. Us 4. This is pretty much where it gets boring. Did we lose? No, but we left from boredom so I guess yea we lost.

As the only non-cleric chinese char, I couldn't do shit once the buff fest started. 6 wiz/clerics, 1 outside healer, 1 outside warrior vs 3 warrior/clerics and a nuker. As the nuker, after killing the wizs a few time, I just sat out from boredom. As a Chinese char, can't touch them unless bless runs out, but with a full party, either a warrior will screen em or another person will use bless. Ends up only having like a 15 sec window to kill them every so often. Even watching the Euros pvp, once they died, tada, black res and you gotta wait a good 2 mins.

The only ones that could rape was the 3 warrior/clerics since they can tank, heal, and deal abs dmg. After like 30 mins of watching them do this we all decided to just leave. Now not only grinding is boring, so is PvP too. I'm prob gonna be taking another break until 120 cap >_>

TLDR; PvP ALWAYS ends up in a buff fight. Honestly the only builds that can still play is Euro with Cleric sub. ABS dmg is so critical it's sad. With all the buffs, you have to wait for like 5 mins before you get a chance to deal actual dmg. Silly black res, constant bless, fence/pain, screens. I miss the old CHN only pvp. No one was invincible.


If you have any good PvP stories Pls share. I just can't think of having an actual good group pvp anymore. After you kill someone, there's a period of just waiting until their buffs run out that kills the tension and makes it boring as fck.

Here's how my typical pvp session goes.

I go to sam south, and the occasional person that hasnt pvped me yet asks me to pvp. And as overpowered as 12d is, being a sun nuker, it ends in 2 hits. Then I'll usually sit around and wait for the aforementioned turkwar to begin. I'll join the losing side, everyone ends up in reverse, overhealing.

After like 30 mins of watching them do this [I decide] to just leave.

I know its rare, but an all chinese war is a blast

For me it usually was like this: we would hang around, me and a few friends. Then we get ganged by several turks over and over so my friends would get their buffers so it was sort of an even match. Then they would bring about their whole union and make it like 3 full parties against us.

And sometimes they would still loose sigh... I indeed miss Chinese only pvp.

these are my thoughs. cap70 for me was and will be best cap there was to silkroad. no seal of suns 64, no +534643896234 weapons and gears, if you had +5 weapon/gear you'd be epic.

So I counted. 2 full parties fighting each other, total of 16 players. 11 were warriors. Lulz. the other 5 were blader, glaiver, cleric, cleric, bard.

I've seen lots of Chinese pot wars that took forever but in the end had a victor. Thats not the case with euros..Once the euro buffs are on.... people stop fighting..and that's lame as hell.

I think I went up like 16 levels on my main when Euro came out.. that is it. I'm still sitting at like 93-94 for the last 6-7 months

Those were the good old days. A guy posted on the forums how he farmed 50K sp at bandit den back then and that was something to get real excited about.

With Euro, a "war" never really ends since the second you die, you can just come back in immortal black-res mode and chill for a bit.

The only person I see that "prefer" Euro pvp are newer players who enjoy being literally immortal the entire time they are fighting. If you're gonna play, grow some balls and play something that has a risk. If not, just stay in safe zone and spam heals all day.

I know for a fact that a majority of the 110, ff, sun+5 +7, nova +10 warrior/clerics all rarely pvp on those char. They are just too strong. The only time they log in is when their Chn chars get ganged by like 3-4 players. The only people I see that pvp constantly on their warrior/clerics are the lil foreign kids that need their buffers at smk 24/7 before they come out and play.

I really wish there was a SRO server where only Chn chars existed so we can actually have some fun fights again. All this euro BS is just for kids who don't want to ever lose.

I don't think euro's ruined the game and this is why... Legit's have the ability to get together a group of friends (8/8) with the proper classes.. and basically rape everyone else. IF they know how to properly play each build. This is where the turk / bot pt's fail. They aren't able to do what a 8/8 legit party could do in an active PvP/PvE situation. If you don't believe it try it yourself. Get together on a new server and test it. It works.

On Athens PPC and Stormfury nearly took JG fw when it first came out. It was a damn close match, it was 1 Euro Legit party against countless other bot parties. The legit party was able to easily kill the lvl 90 ff botter parties like flies.

On Venus there were a few legit parties to take each fw, they were able to fight the botters off for months, they had all 3 FW's at one point! But unfortunately the heads quit and moved on, leaving the union without leadership.

Back on topic.. if you guys used the euro's to your benefits I think you'd find out that it's not so bad.. Legits are better in parties than bots.. it's just that simple.

Well, i had a lot of fun fights recently. With our guild/union-members, we can kill whole bot pts, even if they are around 10 or even 15-20 levels higher than us. We took the bandit fortress with just Lv.8X and 9X people, even though there were lots of Baronets and Generals defending it. At that time we didn't even have a single Lv.100 union member and we were outnumbered too. But with our knowledge of the game, our experience and teamwork, we still made it. It was quite amazing. During Battle Arena we usually own the bots too. It's so much fun to fight as a team and help each other, being able to kill even 110FF characters in the opponent team, as they just aren't organized at all or don't know how to play in a team. I love doing (Group-)PVP with my guild/union. Other than that i had no real "fun" 1 vs. 1 fights, mainly because i don't enjoy doing 1 vs. 1 and don't do it very often. Winning in a 1 vs. 1 battle doesn't say anything about your character or your abilities in my opinion. In most activities on SRO it's more important to be able to play together as a team than being decent as a 1 vs. 1 fighter. I do barely anything without a pt, because my damage just isn't that great as Pure 1H-Warrior/Cleric, but usually i'll have a wizard and a cleric in my pt, who will compensate for that. Alone we may be weak, but with good teamwork we are much stronger. That's the point of being euro. Increasing your strenght by compensating your weaknesses in a team.^^

No, i am not playing on KSRO anymore. Actually the people on KSRO are quite strong, as they are mainly playing themselves too and there aren't many (if even any) player bots). I am currently playing on Azteca.

But it seems you read my last post a little wrong. We took bandit fortress several weeks ago. Back then we were Lv.8X and 9X without a single lv.100+. But our opponents probably weren't 100FF either at that time. Most of them were Lv.100+ though and we still didn't have any problems to take them down. Now the people in our union are 90+ (i am lv.91 currently), some people are lv.95 and 2 of us are even lv.101+ with D12 or nova equip. But actually we don't even need that 2 lv.100+ to stand a chance against a single lv.110 character. If there are several 95 or 100+ people in a pt, we usually need a pt too, but in most cases it's still no problem to win against them.

Anyway, believe me or not, i don't really care and i don't need to prove you anything. I know that it's true and i have a lot fun doing it. That's enough for me. I don't want to impress anyone, i just do it because it's fun for me.

Last night before inspection was fun.

Warrior + Wizard turk buddies + their double bards with tambours and dances AND a cleric spamming heals.

Both are 110 using +3 rare staff and 2h. Vs Me, a warlock, a bard, and a cleric. So basically 8v4 Warlock and Cleric went afk. So me vs 2 of them and their 6 buffers.

Warrior zerked me with wiz chasing me.

I zerked, killed the warrior, killed the wiz, killed the warrior again, and killed the wiz a second time for good measure. Epic lulz.
