Hey Guys,
My friend has a problem with steam, and i was hoping one of you guys might be able to help us out.
Recently, his steam has stopped launching games. I.e he would try to launch TF2 and the little box would pop up saying "Steam is launching: Team fortress 2" it would then disappear, and nothing would happen.
However, it would show him as "In Game", and the only way to close it, would be using CTRL-ALT-DEL and end processing HL2.exe
Well, he uninstalled steam, and when he tried to re-install it, a couple of issues started coming up.
1) The U.A.C would now start to pop up every-time he tried to run Steam
2) Steam now says that he is running it in Comparability mode and should not do this.
In regards to 1), we have no idea, in regards to 2) we checked, and there are no compatibility things turned on, however in CTRL ALT DEL, it reads as running in 32bit, when he uses a 64bit.
Any ideas?

Has he tried running it as admin when he starts it?

Re: Steam Problem
Tell him right click TF2 in Steam -> Properties -> Local Files -> Then click the button "Verify integrity of game cache"
Should fix it.

@Joey
We have tried that a couple of time, even changed the properties to "Run as Admin on all Users"
@Toshi
Also read that on the Steam forums, it worked one time.... haven't been able to replicate the success though
