How does that skill actually work? Does it lower the damage dealt by the person it is used on?

If my memory is correct, you put it on a dmg dealer, and a percentage of the dmg they do comes back to you in the form of MP.

I never really used it unless I was a str bard. Mana cycle restores more, maybe it's different at 85+.

It doesn't effect the damage of people you are using it on (doesn't increase or decrease damage) .

If you are low on mp and needs some mp fast , you put it on someone , preferably a damage dealer and you get mana with a % of his done damage , it lasts ~ 15 seconds .

Example :

So if it is 50% and the one you used it on deals 1000 damage on another mob or player , you will get 500 mp .

Are you sure about that? I was told that it actually takes a certain amount out of the damage dealt by the person it is used on and puts it into my MP pool.

I'm an int bard and I find that skill to be quite helpful in a party with more than two wizards and just me as the only bard. By using Mana Switch on the wizards, I rarely need to use Mana Cycle on myself and that helps me concentrate on them and the cleric. But I certainly wouldn't want to hinder the damage dealers' efficiency either.

It doesnt take any dmg out of the person u casted it on. Read my guide for more info.

Nope, it does not have any effect on their damage. All it does is convert a percentage of the damage they do into MP and gives it to you.

So, wiz does 12000 damage to a mob. Mob still takes 12000 damage, but the game takes a percentage of that amount and gives you MP. If the percentage is 30%, you get 4000 mp back. Or something like that.

gah, mmosite is useless for those skills. it says 50% but max MP @ 110 is 2280, wth?
