No, you won't get dc, all you have to do is teleport to see your silk.
It might take some time, but you should have it within 24 hours at least. It took 8 for me
Some people are receiving it nearly instantly, though.

Yeah I managed to log on, and I had it. But I used the gold ticket yesterday so I need to wait about 9 hours before I can activate my premium.

Level 31 now, and still in need of a guild... Hint hint.
