I'm desperately trying to like it but i simply can't.

Modern Warfare series is WAY better then the treyarch call of dutys, there just so much more fun. When you kill someone in MW you feel like, SUCK IT NOOB. But in black ops etc, you just feel meh when you kill someone.

thing is, it's not going to be made by the same people. i mean.. 3 developers? IW is one of them but as most know 19+ people left and formed respawn entertainment <- can't wait to see what they come out with, at e3 maybe?

mw3 will probably be better than black ops was if treyarch keeps their paws off of it, and the casual fans of the series will probably like it. but for the 'hardcores' that liked cod2/4 and to some degree mw2, i don't see it being a big hit with that crowd..

won't matter though cause it's cod, it will still have 500k plus on at one time.

It's using the Same Engine as Mw2 with some Upgrades unlike Black Ops which stuck to WaW Engine. Which is what gives me hope that it will be better even without all the Original IW Developers.

tl;dr: Optional monthly subscription fee

If it turns out to be successful, it'll be the proving ground for Activision-Blizzard's rumored MMOFPS codenamed Titan.

Titan was supposed to be an FPS MMO?

Shit i've always wanted one, I'd be SO down for it... well depending on the details... but i don't know about paying a monthly fee for this CoD Elite...

I guess tomorrow, and whatever else leaks, Plus E3 should give us more details.

Activision Blizzard Inc. plans to launch an online service called Call of Duty Elite this fall that will work with the next major edition of the game, "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," and future installments of the hyper-realistic combat-simulation game

Yay for well executed journalism :palm: ...
That is like saying that the flatout series is a hyper-realistic driving simulator.

I saw the leaked version awhile back which I thought was fake, but uhh all I had to say is lolwat. I probably hate Activision more than anyone here, but this is just.. pure gold. Also 2k likes to 10k dislikes. lol inb4 it turns into Friday friday gotta get down on friday

I can understand a premium service, but.. uhh.. what they're offering for it(so far that is told).. yeah okay. I understand record your videos and be able to upload to youtube beyond a few seconds. But seriously? I do wonder how well this service will sell considering it'll most likely be continued throughout every Activision game in the future.

also lol @ watch my lips something something.. owait

Btw,

Just got a Tweet back from JD2020, COD Elite will only be for Black Ops, MW3 and Beyond. Doesn't seem like they plan to make it for MW2

That's just bullshit IMO.

Having to pay 70€ for a game plus the monthly fee is already too much, now they want us to pay more?

Elite is this 'monthly fee' you speak of. If you just want to game online you don't have to pay anything besides the price to purchase the game. (which is considerably lower than 70 euro if you take a few mins to look around)

I'm guessing he plays on X-Box, so he has to pay the Monthly X-Box live fee.

But that is just Microsoft being greedy. PSN and PC are free.
