Earlier this week the province of Quebec announced that they would be lowering their legal drinking age to 14. To find out more host Peter Oldring spoke with Alain Rousseau from the Societe des Alcools du Quebec.

I work in a park, and I have 13 - 15 years old come in every day religiously at 10pm, to go have a splif and a beer...

(I live in quebec)

Implying that age actually limited people to drink alcohol.

P.S: If it was true, would be funny because they are considering increasing the drivers test age requirement to 21 because we're such bad drivers.

there are a couple of countries with no drinking age at all, so idk why theres a topic about lowering a drinking age to 14

In quebec, legal drinking age is just a suggestion anyway.
I was buying beer at 15 without any fake IDs... they just dont ask for it.

No, I suppose there's merit to that, sure.
I don't think there'll be a terribly large increase in the amount of kids drinking, as much as a rise in the amount of alcohol addiction.
