If this were a single case of people saying how much Vanilla/TBC is better, then I wouldn't say anything. However, reading the official forums and the mmo-champ forums, every other thread or post is qq about how much better Vanilla/TBC were.

Conversely, the majority of those posts are from bads who think the game is either too hard and want more nerfs, or too easy and say it's dumb.

WoW's graphics really aren't that bad. I don't get why you people have such a problem with them.

I guess at the end of the day, WoW has a more cartoony style of graphics, and i'm not busting Blizzard's balls here because I actually liie the graphics myself. I also like Silkroad's graphic engine as it fits the theme, oriental styled samurai armour and asian garment fit the bill exactly right.

I guess it's just what you're into. Then again, I do play both games on pretty much maximum graphic settings, so I can understand for people with the no-so-highend computers how WoW graphics can seem shit, cause at the lower end of the graphics spectrum, it does get pretty choppy haha.

I dunno, I played Silkroad on Babel until a guy called 'CHAUD' duped gold through the guild war system with the Fable lads, they got banned, moved to WoW, I went with them. Eventually a few years later I came back at the 90 cap. Got a character to Lv77 and quit again, now i'm back playing Cataclysm. I've had my fun in both games.

Battlefield 3 is out soon anyway! so:

Yeah right. Game infested by botters which are allowed to play, pretty much no end game content, economy screwed up on most servers (due to botters having billions), powerleveling, gold buying, bad customers support, bad pvp system, updates mostly consist of cap increase + new zones with similars mobs as already seen in other areas, very basic gameplay compared to most new MMO, game designed for botters with the insane SP amounts needed, no more active players community on web (all sro forums being dead)...

Everyone can have its opinions for sure... But someone saying he still enjoy this game is hard to believe, most would bot and are just too lazy to try other games and invest time in them.

I mean with Aion, Rift released in the last year, and games like Guild War 2, Diablo 3 coming in the next year, it sounds insane to keep playing a game that did not evolve much at all since it was released 6 years ago.

I'm having fun in THIS game, not Aion with shit gameplay and outstanding graphics, not WoW, not any other mmo. I know the game pretty well and GW2 doesn't interest me as much as I hoped, D3 will be the same old as D1, D2 with updates, etc.

You do know why everything is expensive right? Of course nonstop botting creates gold, but the most important thing in general is time. You go to Troy and something can be x5 as much as a newer server. Why? Mudflation.

Because you hate the game for what it is doesn't mean someone else hates it. Please stop being so ignorant. You may hate the PvP system, but I enjoy it.

Funny you mention Aion. You do know even though the community there is equally as rotten? There are plenty of botters in Aion that go not punished. The one person that had the most ap, best gear, and +15 weapon has alts botting in Siel. Isn't that funny? Let's not forgot that there are A LOOOOOOT of people that have stealth detection hacks.

I've played Aion for about a year. On and off. I know it's flaws I know what is wrong with the game. The game is no longer 'good' in my opinion. Not because of the game itself, but the users. I didn't pick up the game to do instances all day. I picked it up for the vast abyss where you can fly and "PvP" and I suppose "vE" but that didn't exist much. Want to know the main reason why I officially quit Aion? No one PvPs anymore. Even if the PvP system which I believe is terrible compared to Silkroad. I.. oddly enough enjoyed Aion's PvP system.

But yeah thats just my opinion

Yeah but maybe you did not play back then when the game was really active and not only played by botters, now on SFR i see 3-5 active threads each day in GD, before it was whole page of threads. And much of the people posting are not even playing SRO anymore... Its sad to see what has become of a game that had such potential, we all know playing SRO give a feel that its hard to get in other games.

Aion shitty gameplay, I dont want to enter this so i'll pass but i'll just say its kinda hard to argue with you when in SRO the only thing there is, is grind. If at least the triangular conflict sys was not all messed up.

I had fun as well in this game years ago, but when you realise you are a minority in a wave of botters and that the admins do not care about it (the new IP limitation system shows it is still the case, giving different access to some countries), you come to realise its lame to fight for a grind spot with them when there is so many great games being released (not only MMO).

@Toshiharu Yeah you have a point as for everything being expensive. But I bet that there is so many accounts of people who quit that are still holding billions gold, mudflating is not the most common factor.

I dont 'hate' the game. I hate what its have became maybe, because yeah just like you I played Aion but I am not anymore for various reasons, but don't you think that SRO lacks some major features you have in most recent MMO? I came to realise that while Aion was not a perfect game, SRO was missing a lot of things to make it a really fun MMORPG.

And I stated my opinion and I respect your's and other's. I played SRO as well so can't blame anyone for doing so lol.

And i dont come to bitch I still come once in a while to see what is happening in the game (like so many others it seems) because I do miss SRO somehow, but not in his current state.

But its a fact I find it hard to believe that some can still prefer SRO over all the new games, but what is wrong with that? If you like it then good for you and enjoy the game.

I'm not trying to convince anyone to quit at all, If anyone wanted to quit he would have done a while ago I think. I just replied to this thread because when I read such things as JM only giving prefered access to the 30$ Premium, I find that so lame, this game is not worth to pay that anymore, I hope for you guys that traffic stays low.

And about Aion, yeah thats what I did actually... Played for less than a year and left. Not really sure why, but did not get addicted at all like I was for SRO, but it still helped me to get rid of any feeling toward SRO Now i'm into Rift and I like it so far. But this is getting offtopic!
