Super curious.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelations predictions.
SPOILERS.
Ubisoft most likely plans to end the franchise (or just Desmond’s story) in 2012, which would bring the game into current day settings, making it so that you play the game AS IT’S HAPPENING. In 2007, the game was taking place during September, 2012, and by the end of Brotherhood, it was the month of October. As revealed at the end of the DaVinci Disappearance, Desmond is now in a coma. This is the reason I think that Desmond will not be the main character of Revelations.
Well, if not Desmond, then who? Who could we possibly have as a protagonist who has all the same ancestors as Desmond? Well, that’s simple. Subject 16. He has been developed bit by bit over the course of the last three games. It makes more sense to explore a preexisting character in more depth than it does to create an entirely new entity and expect your audience to empathize with them and become immersed in their life. We are already, in a way immersed in 16’s life in the same way that Desmond is.
Subject 16 talked about jumping around lots of times, and being confused as to who and where and when exactly he is. This opens up the opportunity and possibility for multiple timelines being presented in one game. People have specifically been asking for more Altair. Even after he has not been the star of a game in years, he is still an incredibly popular character. Ubisoft notices that. Altair may or may not be the main character of the next game but obviously, someone descended from him will be. One of his sons (or one of theirs), perhaps.
As recently teased at, Constantinople, and Masyaf will be featured. These places all existed in Altair’s time period. The type of robes being worn, and timeline of Assassin’s Creed itself points again to the 12th/13th century. These were some ideas that I already had, but the event is just making me even more excited that there is some small chance that I am right about them.
I’m at work right now, and I could probably write about this for hours, but I’ll stop here. I have so many predictions and ideas… They’re oozing out my ears.
