@Toasty; dont be so sure ;). With how Real Madrid are, i expect Spurs to have a good game against them.

And barca gets the easy draws, as always

Still so sure? ;P

Just to clarify things up a bit.
Teams from the same country cannot be grouped together in the
same group or face each other in the 1st knock out round.

Once into the Quater Finals any team can face any other team
reguardless of where they are from

Barcelona is a bunch of cheaters.

Have you guys seen the match? They dive and grab their faces for no apparent reason. Daniel Alves made a big deal rolling round, Victor Valdes runs to the ref and EVERYONE of Barcelon tried influencing the ref for a red card and he gave one. Daniel Alves gets carried away, and out of no where he gets resurrected. Lol. I wonder how that could happen? Fake injuries for the lose.

This match was a disgrace. I'm not even a fan of Real Madrid, but I feel sorry for them for losing against a bunch of cheaters.

The only reason Messi scored those goals is because Pepe was sent off.

First, that's a false statement. It only was three out of four matches that RM ended in 10. :sohappy:

I hope you're kidding. Seriously.
There was diving, of course. Everyone does it and I don't think that getting face-slapped everytime is really nice. Sure some of them are exaggerated, but I don't think Dani Alves's was. He's quite a robust guy (hence he could go on with minor problems) and if you didn't notice he made a 360 degrees flip when Pepe hit his leg. Imagine just if that very same leg was on the ground. It'd be broken by now.

Besides all of this, yes. It was quite a bad match and only Messi's second goal made it worth watching it. But do you want to know why it was a bad match? That's because Mourinho is a bad coach. No kidding. He actually is. He sure is an amazing motivator and an excellent psychologist, but he can only win whenever he's playing the best team ('cept for Porto, back then when I almost liked him). And how does he win? Playing football? Sure not. All he does is defend, defend, defend, counter-attack and if the ball ain't going in, let's just hope for a foe's mistake. Even Ronaldo today said that he doesn't like playing like that. This match just showed the world how inept he is at tactics. Let's all play a 9-0-1 and let's leave on the bench Kakà, Higuain and Benzema.

Seriously, kids. :palm:

Yes, of course I did.

I fail to see where I'm wrong.
Did RM deserve to win with only 28% of ball possession? No, they didn't.
Did I deny that there was faking? No, I didn't.
Did I say that Guardiola is the best coach? No, I didn't.
Did I say that Barcelona played a good football? No I didn't.
Did Barcelona play much better than RM? Yes, they did.
Is it because I didn't mention Pepe being sent off? I don't know, but I could foretell it; he was too nervous and he usually is quite a beater.

Prove me wrong, first, then I can acknowledge I am and eventually you can say along "You're wrong".

Vortexx was right.
Mourinho is not a bad coach.

Saying if alves' leg was on the ground - it would be broken is a stupid thing to say. They were both going for the ball, there was nothing wrong with what Pepe did. It was barcelona's stupid reactions which happened throughout the whole match that got him sent off.

Possession is one thing but winning is another. Real Madrid had pretty much as good chance of scoring than barcelona. Especially in the second half before Pepe got sent off.

There it goes. I have now no problem admitting that the red card was too much, but you can't deny that Pepe should be booked for dangerous behaviour, either. They're playing football, not wrestling. And it would've led to another booking, eventually. Just my opinion towards Pepe.
BTW, I don't know why I wrote 360°, lol. At first I wrote 180, then I was like.."Mh..let's see..too lazy to check a vid again..just try to remember how he landed" And I pictured him holding his leg in the same position as he was before the tackle. So my bad, again, it's 180.

I'll proceed step by step.

1- Whether Mourinho is a good or bad coach is just an opinion. I myself am Juventus fan and up to six years ago, we owned Serie A, yet I was not really happy. And it was not due to the fact that we couldn't win CL, but it was because of the very boring way they played. To me a good manager is not simply a winning manager, but a manager who can make his team play actual football and Mourinho does not do that. Nonetheless, football nowadays is also a showbiz business. And not because of the diving and faking. :P

2- That was because I didn't notice that Pepe didn't actually hit Alves (even though I'm still sospicious). I was thus referring to the violence of the impact (because Alves spinned real bad) and if his leg was on the ground it'd be broken. I'm the first one to say that what happens should not be considered with the buts and the ifs, so it's just a hypothesis; I'm not saying that Pepe did it intentionally.
Oh, besides those reactions are quite usual in an El Clasico, so a ref who knows what he's doing should have no problem handling it at all.

3- I know ball possession is not everything, but as I've already stated, I don't like teams who let the opponent play the match while they just defend, sometimes do a little pressing and then counter-attack. That's a lower league club's tactics. And it should not suit Real Madrid's style. It does, unfortunately, suits Mourinho and that's why I consider him a bad manager.

So, just to make it clear, I'll list my points, after these considerations:
- RM did NOT deserve to win
- Barcelona did NOT play a good football
- Barcelona DID play better than RM
- Messi's second goal was amazing
- Pepe maybe did not deserve a red card, but he would eventually get one (IMO)
- There was dirty playing, diving and faking, but by both teams
- Mourinho is - in my opinion - bad at tactics, but a good motivator and an excellent psychiatrist (no offense intended) and a crybaby, lol
- Guardiola is not a much better coach than Mourinho, but at least he can make his team play football (not that hard when you've got Xavi, Iniesta and Messi..eheh)
- I do NOT like teams that let the opponent play the game, especially whent they have the means to do it

You're so delusional.

"There was dirty playing, diving and faking, but by both teams"
Not at all. Barcelona's behavior was similar to cry babies and they dived throughout the whole match. The players of Real have maybe dived for only two times. Lol. If Mourinho was a bad coach then he wouldn't have won the champions league a couple times. Haha.

Anyways, here is more of Barcelona's beautiful football of yesterday.

The video is not available anymore.

I explained that Pepe would eventually get a red card because he was being very hysterical and he's a well known toughie who is likely to hurt the opponents. I didn't absolutely mean that he deserved a red card just for that tackle.

I also explained that there was dirty playing and faking by both teams. How you reduced everything to faking (which, in the end, is not totally faking, because they were slapped, but still they overreacted) goes beyond my understanding.

Finally, I have my opinion about Mourinho and the other guys who can't make their teams play a decent football, like Capello, Mancini, Domenech and so on. I don't care if he won; Capello probably won a lot more than him, but I don't like his way of playing football.

Have a new one. If you still thought the other video about the foul on Alves was suspicious.. I'm going to laugh hard. From Rio Ferdinand's twitter:
"If u ever see me go off on a stretcher then run back on to play i give every1 on here the green light to hit me with a 2footedtackle"

I didnt get to see the match cause i had practice etc.

But from i can see, but of the teams dived around like little girls, which really isnt a surprise. Dani alves is the crappiest footballer of times, and his dive was obviously ridiculous and most impactful, but don't act like players from RM werent diving at all, (though maybe, less than barca)

I kinda find it funny though, how Pepe's rating goes through the roof after he gets red and RM lose. Its like before in FIFA in the team selection page, his rating is 77, and after he sees red, his rating somehow becomes 90 and hes the one of the only defenders in the world who could have stopped messi
