Yea, this rumor has been around for a while
but it does make sense for Nintendo to make another high-power
end console to finish its domination.

Re: Project Cafe- "Wii 2"
Looks interesting, I like the idea of a high powered console, hopefully one that is equal to the xbox 360 and PS3. But the touch screen on the controller sounds stupid. It's unclear on which direction Nintendo wants to go, because a controller with a touch screen doesn't sound like it will suit a high powered console...

Re: Project Cafe- "Wii 2"
The person that leaked the information about the chip said something like 'it's a step ahead of this generation.'
So let me get this straight.. For the sake of simplicity I'm going to call this generation 1.
Wii - 0
360 - 1
PS3 - 1
Wii cannot even compete in terms of hardware. Naturally everything goes +1 in the next generation, but the new Nintendo console will be a step ahead of this generation..
Nintendo - 2
xbox - 2
Playstation - 2
That is completely ignoring what the other competitors are doing.
Wow it's like nothing. I'm not impressed even with the little screen, but I do wonder what other features they plan on showing us at E3.. if they show it at E3 this year.

They mean in general...not just nintendos current console.
apparently code-named Project Cafe--will have a beefy triple-core IBM CPU, not unlike that of the Xbox 360, making porting games to the console easier than before. Indeed, the site reports that Nintendo is making third-party outreach a major priority for its next console,
from french website thats leaking this story...now if and a big IF this is
real. it means this new console will be slightly better then the 360.
Keep in mind currently this is all RUMMOR and as such its more the likely to be different
to the actual specs of this new console.

Re: Project Cafe- "Wii 2"
I was saying they would all equal generation '2' at the current rates of how everything moves. The leaked news of Nintendo's console being 'ahead' of THIS generation means nothing considering everything else would move step in generation of consoles. They all would be 'equal'. At least what I believe.

True, but am not going to think to much about this
until E3 or whenever they (Nintendo) come out and say it for
themselves.
Could be real..or another Microsoft handheld or PC console

I'm sure Microsoft will move into the handheld gaming world sooner or later. I can't wait til E3 this year. I hope it won't be as terrible as last year.
