Mac Games!
Hey everyone I just saved enough money for my very first macbookpro. I'm going to be a music major in college so that's why I got a mac but I'm a pretty big gamer I suppose. Before I had my labtop, I would always play on my mom's dell computer and play Combat Arms, Perfect World, and Silkroad. I don't have a xbox or anything so my Mac is my only source of gaming! Anyone recommend any games for the Mac(Can be free or whatever) Any games but I love MMOs also. So far I bought StarCraft 2 and I'm new to the RTS gaming but I enjoy the strategy but I'm looking for a free shooter or mmo like Combat Arms or Perfect World. Any suggestions? Thanks!

is that for mac though?
There is WINE that is for Linux and Mac's (Macs are unix based). I would say if you are spending $1000 plus you could spend another $100 on an OEM Win7 and not worry about glitches with WINE. Macs are basicly a PC with a differant OS.

To be completely honest, you probably shouldn't game. The time you spend gaming can be better used with time making music and furthering your skill.

Install steam. You can get all the source engine games, civlization 5, and a bunch of others. Get all the blizzard games. If you're more serious about gaming, you can install parallels. It lets you run windows applications in mac os x. So unlike bootcamp, you don't actually load into windows.
I run steam via parallels so I can play all my windows games on my mac; no hit in performance.
