LAPTOP Question

Hi, I have a new laptop,and wondering whether I plug the charger when I use it at home or wait until lowbatt before charging it. I want to save the battery life. so, what you guys recommend?

Should I keep the charger plug even if its full or wait till 10% battery.

Only use the charger when you really need it, just like a phone battery.

Like XMoshe said , use it in need only but i would say charge at like 20% or you may simply forget .

use the charger all the time cause when you plug the charger it's kinda stop the battery from working and just try to empty the battery twice per week this will save the battery life
and don't charge the battery if it went low and use the laptop same time this damage the battery fast if you really need to use the laptop remove the battery till you finish then charge it latter when you don't use the laptop

this information not mine and true 100% i work in computer field for about 6 years till now

That piece of information is actually pretty good .
I have my last laptop from about a year but i made the battery very weak . >_<

Removing the battery isn't good idea for three things!
1- What if the power cut off? you'll lose anything that you didn't save + maybe damage your laptop and software like windows.
2- You need the empty and recharge the battery twice at least per week so the cells work and not to solidification.
3- Removing the battery and plugging it in again lots with weakness the locks of the battery.

Most (almost all at this point?) laptop batteries are Li-Ion batteries which don't suffer from battery memory. They DO lose capacity over time though. Pretty sure it's best not to leave them 100% charged all the time as the capacitance loss is greater at that point. Leaving them around 50%-60% reduces that loss quite a bit.

leave it in :S my old laptop was always plugged in for 6 years with battery in. And I'm still using it with a 3 hour on battery life. It was originally 3 hours so I don't lose capacity keeping it plugged in.

Are most laptop batteries a 3 hour duration , if so then i didn't lose that much capacity as i expected as i can open it for +2 hours before the battery ends .
