crit 14 rox *tear*

The higher the crit, more often you crit. Basically makes the luck chance of getting a crit better.

According to this guide, critical is:

Critical:(weapon only) The critical of your weapon equals a % of how often you will pull off a critical.

I think I read somewhere that a critical does double damage. Someone more in the know can correct that if need be. I know that when farming sp on Bandit Archers, my current status (lvl17, 8 mastery, lvl 16 bow) requires two imbued hits on them... one with a lvl 2 anti-devil missle and then a follow up. They drop in one imbued anti-devil hit from a crit.

I love the camera shake on critical hits. 8)

NO. That percentage corresponds to the ratio for maximum crit. For example, the crit 4 (25%) still has 75% potential. Meaning that at 100%, it would be higher (eg. crit 12). The crit 8 (15%) means that it still has 85% potential of being increased (eg. crit 16). The reason why the crit 4 has a higher percentage is because it is a lower lvl weapon (eg. 4th degree) versus the crit 8 which is a high lvl weapon (eg. 7th degree). The rule of thumb is: high lvl weapons have a high crit possibility than lower lvl weapons. Also, within any degree of weapon, SoX increases the maximum crit potential in the following order: SoS < SoM < SoSun. For example, a 4th degree bow might have a max crit (100%) of 12, the SoS version of that 4th degree might have a max crit of 14, SoM crit 16, and SoSun crit 18. Remember, I'm just using fictional numbers. So this means that a 4th degree SoX weapon has the potential of being higher max crit (100%) than a 8th degree Non-SoX weapon. For example, degree 4 SoSun bow crit 18(100%) versus a degree 8 bow crit 14(100%).

I hope this explains your question. Also to remind you, crit value (eg. crit 10) is a ration over 100, meaning that every non-magic hit you make with your weapon has a 10% chance of being critical. To review, crit 6 means each independent hit has a 6% chance of being critical. Critical isn't averaged. Each time you hit someone, the critical is independent of the next. You might get 3 crits in a row, or you might get 6 NoN-critical hits in a row. It's all random and based on the probability assigned to your weapon.
