Lets talk: Spear + Lion shout = Fail?

I;m planning to come back to isro, I;m aiming for a high DPS char with hybrid spear. I'm also planning to add lion shout into the equation on pvp cuz of its fast spamability. This requires being creative in pvp to use lionshout as an effective, spammable, and deadly skill that will probably pave a new way for its purpose, or on the other hand, it will just be a waste of precious time and SP.

Question now is: is the damage on the last book exceptional in pvp? Not to mention using light as main imbue and dropping fire for light?

I want to hear your answers, Facts and Assumptions will be humble accepted.

p.s. i already know that the ghost spear bug is already patched.

And no lion shout has meh dmg. I usually use it if i feel like the person, namely a wiz, is almost dead anyways. Even then it usually disappoints. I use bich cuts over lion shouts in pvp. For a spear user, i would prob just throw the spear over lion shout. Even spamming it it's not that great unless you're fighting someone that's quite a bit lower lvl than you.

hmmm... i still feel like adding shout in. Anyways what do you think how much damage will a max shout deal to you with and w/0 shield =/ and based on the damage, how much HP do you think it will be left based on ratio?

like for e.g.
Shout dmg w/ shield = 8K
shout dmg w/o shield = 11K
Shout dmg w/ dealt to HP = 21K hp left out of 29K HP
Shout dmg w/o dealt to HP = 18K hp left out of 29K HP

With a nova sword, I've yet to see lion shout reach 10k dmg on anyone that's 110. Maybe with a +7 or higher nova spear it'll hit 10k... maybe...

On another note, no more 6x stabs T_T.

I cant really judge if a 10K dmg is really a life threatening issue(in game). So i kinda find it hard to see it through your experience, also, can a shout damage just be potted away easily? i mean, the hp lost will easily be replenished with a single HP pot?

I think it will, and well 10k is less than 1/6th of what a pure str char has and like 1/3rd of an int. But yeah if Goseki is right and it won't even reach 10k it'll be even less. I don't think it's worth the sp, atleast not for pvp. Might be a good finisher while grinding and even better for plvling at low lvl mobs.

spear throw + shout + ghost spear?

its just an assumption... i'm taking assumptions before i test them. =/

You might think about using shout first and last. because it does so little damage it may be low enough not to trigger their auto-pot, possibly giving your last 2-3 skills the extra edge to outdo the auto-pot. Prolly wouldn't work on a pure str, but might on a hybrid or int.
