Help out a newbie nuker please :)

Post by Acornah »

Hi all :)

I'd like to try out a chinese pure int nuker with sword and shield, but I can't decide on which force to lvl besides lightning.. (it seems obvious to me that I should get at least that one because of the buffs and stuff..)

I really like fire and it seems to be quite a lot stronger than cold, also I like the immunity buff, but I think it might be smarter to get cold for its extra physical defence.

What could you advise me? Fire or Cold?

And also, as shown in the poll, I can't decide on which imbue to use. I think I would go for fire if I end up going bicheon/light/fire, but bicheon/cold/light seems like the most sensible option. In that case, I find it hard to choose between a cold and a lightning imbue.

Please vote on the poll and explain why!

Thanks a bunch in advance! :D

As a pure int you will need Ice for sure. So the question isn't Fire or Ice but Fire or Light. Personally I would go for Fire/Ice, you are pure int so you have a good base dmg. Add the dmg from debuffs on top of that (assuming you can land them ofcourse which isn't that often in group pvp but still) and you will do fine without Light.

Another option is to max Bich and Fire and get a mix of Light/Ice. I had an almost pure int s/s with 70/40 Ice/Light and I could pvp perfectly with it. Ofcourse it's always possible to switch the numbers up.

Thanks! That's the answer I was secretly hoping for! :sohappy:
I prefer both fire and ice forces over lightning, but then again, those nukes are less likely to hit more than one target, right? =x

Not entirely sure but I think that 2 of the fire nukes (3rd/6th book) have a bigger AoE than the light nukes. The others however don't transfer that much no, it's still not bad, they can hit mobs who are between you and the targeted mob and sometimes even when they are behind you. Don't bother with the ice nukes unless you have alot sp left over. The fire nukes is all you will need.

Thanks again :)

I think I've made up my mind now but I'd still like to see other opinions :)

I'm still a little torn between lightning and fire because of lightning's range and the buffs (especially speed one =/)

You are a nuker, so you need snow shield. Go bich/cold/light. with light imbue.

light gives you increased magical damage passive by % ( very helpful )and speed and dash , it's nukes almost as powerful as fire .
So in the first week in college i went with jeans and the pajama's shirt. Didn't notice what i was wearing till after i returned home.

No, light's passive gives Parry Ratio and not by %, which is not that all-important.

What omier said and almost as powerful, so why not just take fire and get mag def/fire wall/slighty better imbue/phy dmg (not that useful ofcourse)
