Was chatting with my Japanese Friend when the tsunami hit. That was scary shit.
Luckily he was quite a bit south and in his area it was down to a 6.2 but still... That's pretty insane. And I agree, unreal footage on al jazeera.

After seeing the footage of the farmland being basically swept away, I'm pretty sure it's going to be a lot higher than that.

Then again, your in Waikiki. Good luck. Pearl Harbors vast amount of stuff should buffer much of the force since I'm in Aiea.

It's been drawing back here, but nothing really happened (or at least on my Island). I heard Maui had some minor incidents.

That country has been plagued with nationwide disasters....they've been carpet bombed then nuked and now this....I know they will pull through again however. I wish them a speedy recovery... You can expect them to develop some state of the art warning system in the near future...that's just how they are...

I'm currently watching multiple live feeds of Japan's risk of a nuclear meltdown

Some say it will only affect a little portion, less than 20 miles (30km)

Then some say it will go all the way to the usa

Well, although it's a relatively small country, but they could have built the damn thing much father inland!

Oh crap.. It doesn't looks good

Japan Nuclear Plant Meltdown Happening Now!
Already defined as the worlds second most disastrous Nuclear event, Chernobyl being the first. ....., Japan's 3rd largest power provider and one of Japan's 50 nuclear plants has reached high alert status as an explosion expelled potentially radioactive material into the surrounding area. The government has evacuated people up to 70 miles from the facility.

Oh may God people are stupid. Most of the pharmacies in Finland run out of iodine tablets when the nuclear plant incident was announced in news.
