KSRO Update: Possibility to transfer chars!

So yeah, I was browsing some silkroad related stuff when I saw this at silkroadsecret:

Joymax released information that a server move for characters will be possible. Translated from korean:

Server move has been registered on the list. Character movement is applied after the weekly routine inspection.

There are no information yet if that will cost something, but why should Joymax do it for free?

Personally I hate this feature just as much as I would like it. Sure, would be nice to transfer my good char from Xian, to Azteca. But then again, all the 110 fully pimped guys, would come to all new servers too. Wouldn't that suck?

I, as you. Both hate it and love it.

I wanna move to a US server, BUT. So does everyone else. So they're gonna become REALLY crowded. And most people on my serer will probably move somewhere else >_>

But then on the other hand, maybe the turks wanna move to Malazgirt? Which would be EPIC

Maybe allow you to move your character naked? Best of both worlds? You wouldn't have to take time to farm or level up again, but need to buy equipment and all again in the new server.

Maybe they can let you take your gold, or at least some of it, to get started. They could track where the gold came from. So if you had 30 gold bots in Xian and tried to transfer all their gold to your character that you are going to move to Azteca, when those gold bots get discovered and banned, your recently moved character can get banned too.

Too much work perhaps...

I agree, that would be a good solution. If they really wanted to make it fair, the system should automatically compare wealth of both servers, and then calculate how much you can get on the new server.

For example at Xian, the prices are very high due to 5 years of inflation. So, if you have 1b gold on Xian and you're allowed to transfer, let's say, 10%, you would technically get 100m on your new server, but that's where the wealth calculator kicks in. It should calculate how much 100m is "worth" on (for example) Azteca, compared to the server you moved from. So, let's say, that the 100m is actually worth only 20m on Azteca as Azteca haven't suffered from 5 years of inflation.

I don't know if that made sense, and I'm sure joymax would never implant this, but it would definitely be a very good solution.

Better idea. You start with all npc for your level. Then you get 5 mil per 10 levels.

So if someone moved a 90 they would get 9d npc and 45mil

Guys, don't worry about the gold, all the gold selling sites offer money transfers from server to server, so people will get their money, one way or another

Most of the high lvl ppl in your server, you know if they are nice, trustable, or complete jerks. with this new system you will lose the knowledge, which fawking sux.

This a good idea for game community....Just imagine a lot more people concentrated on only a few servers...I can see a truly legit movement being started. I don't think they'd allow you to take your gold with you though because if tons of players went to a particular server then gold bot companies would want to be where their customers are.

I think it would be a good idea to rid the game of bots....If Joymax create 2-3 new servers and and only allow transfers to those servers then they can filter out the botters

even tho I don't play, they should just have a pvp server where anybody from any server can log on to. Basically just a pvp area with a safe zone for pots, no trading/item exchanging/monster hunting/item dropping or anything. Come to think of it, a raid server would be awesome as well.

A little server tag by your name like [Xian] will distinguish where your from if others have the same name.

About the name issue, I guess it will be done like at csro, when two servers emerged. If the name is already taken on the server, you will have a popup on the character choosing screen, asking you to chose a new name

And yeah, this would make it way easier for all legits to be at ONE server!
