From Steam Store description
Bonus Content: The Black Emporium
Nestled deep under Kirkwall, you'll find a market with a curious collection of items, some for sale, some for free, and ranging from the mundane to the mysterious! One artifact can even transform your very body, face, hair, eyes—all new! We've even granted you your very own mabari war hound to call to your side with a whistle—a boon in battle and a beloved pet at home. Visit the Black Emporium today, and you’ll be the envy of adventurers everywhere. Your invitation awaits!

The Black Emporium features:
A magic item store that has some of the best equipment you’ll find in the game. It’s restocked with better items as you progress through the story.
A loyal mabari hound that fights at your side in battle.
The “Mirror of Transformation”. Gaze into it and you can change your very appearance. Hair, eyes, tattoos, and more can be changed with the click of a button.
A crafting store which sells powerful unique recipes.
Explore the Black Emporium and uncover its strange secrets and lore. Be sure to see its strange proprietor. It should prove most… memorable.

im feeling it :sohappy:

I just started a new DA:O game actually a few days ago.

Playing through on nightmare.

reason is because i started feeling bad about not having even finished the original, and ive not even touched the expansion. thats because i had some stuff to do when it came out and well i never really got around to it after that i guess :S

but anyway, im playing through the main story from scratch again now on nightmare, ive almost finished the game when i first played it but anyway. after that im gonna play Awakening and then DA2 will come out and i can't Farking wait, the game is amazing :P

"The Exiled Prince" downloadable content

They really gotta cut this shit out and just take their time to release expansion packs.

He means releasing dlc at the same time as the game, dlc that most likely is already on the disc.

Thought I do agree with you, it's done on purpose. There was an IGN interview with one of the devs and they mentioned that releasing DLC shortly (a month or so) after the release is a way to keep people' attention on their game. Thus giving reason to develop a sequel.

I know it makes them money but I don't think it's a good use of development time. Before anyone says why can't they do both dlcs and work on expansion, they usually can't/don't because there are development cycles and constraints on how many people program a game. Instead of using the limited development time on that, I'd like to see full expansion packs with a shorter main story than the original (-10 hrs or w/e) + side scenarios to develop side stories that would've been dlcs. This means when I buy the expansion I can play the expansion and explore side stories, if the side stories happen to suck, I wouldn't have wasted my money cause I still have the expansion and I won't be wondering why witch hunt or golems of amgarrak was so bad. Obviously that's ideal as a consumer and won't happen as long as there are marketing people, but I just hate DLCs.

Can someone post whether it's worth the time to play the demo once they've gone through it a decent amount?
