I left about a month or two after the European expansion. Even before that I was already very inactive. It was a really great game when I started playing it though - people were able to do normal trade runs, assume jobs without having to worry about some superbot jackass in full SoSun. The best part of it was that you didn't have to worry about 20 bots trying to steal your mob either.

Now it's just a fucking mess.

I really don't see any point in going back to GD since my SRO knowledge is way too outdated anyway. Although I was glad to see my guild hit the top spot at one time almost right after I left.

Remember back when a botter was discovered, It was an actual shame. They'd be discraced, tarred and feathered by the community.

God, I couldn't wait to get home from work and play SRO. It was honestly a lot of fun. One of the best. Leveling my little noob, buying upgrades in Jangan

How I miss this.

Some days, I'm tempted to download, log in and start a lowbie for fun. Then I remember it takes 30 minutes of spamming logins to get in, half the server population is bots and theres no real point anyway.

we got instant log-ins now on most servers, bots are still there and there might be a point as gold bots are more in control now compared to b4 and there is a definite increase in the number of "players"

true, or when those hackers were spawing multiple tiger girls outside jangan and we would run
out to try and kill them .

SRO for me was immense fun, it was my first MMO , the game were i meet and made friends
with the likes of KeyJ, Masterwong, cin, cpinney, iGod and many more (most of who quit and
have since vanished ). And i first really had a desire to get home
early from school to play a game and actually enjoy the experience and what would come of it


Like the day when the wolf pets first came out...waiting around pvping each other before they
NPC would sell them

The buzz i miss even today is seeing that purple dot in the mini map after camping for 2-3 or even 4hours the adrenahlin buzz from that was amazing its rare to get that on wow unless we have been trying a boss for months in heroic and finally down it wow that feeling is amazing too or finding a ultra rare mob like time-lost proto drake but these come a lot less often and dont have the same impact as having your name shown server wide for your efforts in camping this 1 unique mob

thats what i miss the most about the game anyways the people are a whole different subject i miss people like im_on_56k and zenix etc even you ryoko i always got the feeling i was bugging you but stil i admired you for some reason stil do sorta your not on here so much these days though

So amazing. It was better, It had a sky, it rained, I had awesome weapons.

Never made any char further than lvl 25 but still.. I had fun.
