dude from what you wrote i guess you have no clue whats going on Egypt... Egypt is not like Saudi Arabia or what ever... we have a lot of people that are Christians in this revolution Egyptians while the Muslims prayed **pray 5 times a day** the Christians protected them and vice versa.. its not a religious revolution. the person who will be the next president they said they will put strict rules that wont allow him to have all the authority lets say like the usa.. Egypt is not even close to being a radical Muslim country and wont be...

Ok =) I'll forget about the wars on Israel. Also the current leader worked with the US(not saying he was/is a good leader). I'll admit I've not lived in Egypt, but it wouldn't be the first time a group promised the world to their citizens and then once in power threw all that away. Che?

@Dis
Mohamed Elbaradei won the Nobel Peace Prize 2005. worked with the UN most of his carrier all he cares about as he claims egyptian economy and fighting unemployment also he wants the people to have freedom and democracy.. about the muslim brother hood they are a few not a lot!! even though i live in the usa... im still in contact with many Egyptian friends and some of my family live over there... this revolution was made my the people ONLY !!! there was no leader in this revolution it was organized mainly by twitter and Facebook.. this revolution was made my Christians Muslim and atheist.. again i repeat there was no Muslim brother hood involved

@Oruchi
well to be honest i disagree Egypt is very unlike Iran in many things.. first of all Egypt are way more educated.. and that revolution in Iran was a shia Islamic revolution.. Egypt is not the same!!

In Egypt's case the war against Israel had alot to do with the Suez Canal, so I don't reakk get why you stated that. and the only reason Muabarak and the U.S. were working together is to prevent radical Muslims to take control of Egypt. the president before Mubarak, Sadat, was killed by radical muslims. so it was in the benifit of both Mubarak and the U.S. to work together.

Israel is a different story.. it attacked sinani and took the suez canal which was an egyptian land... so there had been a war and egypt took back its land!! however now there is agreements and alot of other stuff with israel.. as far as i know egypt is the only country in the region that allows trading and other stuff with israel

This kind of news just snaps me back into reality and makes me feel that I shouldn’t take for granted the rights that I have, because somewhere, halfway around the world, people are willing to die to have them.

Ohh man am I loving the Egyptian people at this moments. I don't know what it is but I feel so connected with those people as my fellow Arabian brothers and I hope so that they get their freedom. What we as the Iraqi people unfortunately couldn't accomplish, they are accomplishing right now!

The millionman mars today is unbelievable, that just shows how much the Egyptians are united at this moment, fighting as one Nation regardless of religion or etnicity.

I'm following everything about the riot at the English Al Jazeera, it's a FREE STREAM with a live coverage of the riots. However, all Al Jazeera journalists have been banned from doing any work in Egypt because the Mubarak regime accuses them to be in favor of the revolutionists. So all the coverage goes by phone, but they do have live cameras at Cairo and Alexandria (Egypt's 2nd largest city). Check it out once in a while to stay up to date about the riot.

Right now I'm very interested in what the Obama adminstration will do. The U.S. and Mubarak have been very good allies the past 30 years. The U.S. even sees Mubarak as one of their most succesful allies ever. I believe that allthough they would want to to pulicly state that Mubarak has to leave, they are being held back by their succesful and long relationship with him. Senator Kerry already stated that he wants Mubarak to leave, but Washington has yet to take a clear position in this matter. This could very well be President's Obama biggest foreign crisis.

<3 The same people in the media that were saying the "tea baggers" were violent, and then praised the revolution in Egypt are now getting their shit kicked in by the protesters. "America go home" :roll:

I don't know if JiTa is reading this or if he even comes to SRF anymore, but I am thinking about you and I hope that everything is ok for you right now. I was up until the wee morning hours watching the protest coverage feeling sick to my stomach thinking that you may be out there somewhere. Please be safe and careful.

For all the other people in Egypt right now that I used to know, be safe.
