IP restriction for Europe is Confirmed and you can't bypass it as it's programmed into the login server. There are ways around it but it will cost you $$ or hotspot shield. Invest in a VPS that isn't IP restricted.

I think bots will find ways around this. Using proxy you could easily bypass the error. And some proxies are free to use, but probably not the most reliable tho. And not sure how safe it is to use proxy to login in SRO.

But in the end, i bet this will be another thing that will affect more legits than botters. I was used to do little lan with 2 real life friends at my house and play SRO (they both quit now hehe -_-), guess I could not do that anymore.

And i find it funny that so far the country blocked dont have their own version of SRO, I wonder if they will block Asia countries as well?

Imo they do not even do this to prevent gold bots. They limit 2 clients per IP because they know the players botters who run their own party and/or gold bots do not spend silk for more than 1-2 accounts. So by limiting clients to 2, they get rid of the useless clients/accounts for them.

I hope we at least get to keep low pop in servers and easy login.

the game isnt as bad as what people make it out to seem also lol, its still fun pvp but then again i play with tons of people from real life thats why its fun for me, if ur playing solo with turks egyptians and other non english speaking people i can see how it gets annoying lol

u can use proxies to bypass it for now but if they extend it to ALL countries, that'd mean that all the proxies would be blocked as well because they must originate from some country.... but im sure there are enough proxies on programs like hotspot to suffice... but why would u need to connect mor ethen 1 char anyway?

All of Europe has been contaminated by the IP limit plague.. But it's still easy to bypass, for the more motivated players.
And there are lots of legit reasons to need more than 2 ips, such as stalling, or just having several pple play in the same house or internet cafe..

Agreed with the ip limit, the drawbacks are sooo minor.

as for stalling, er, dimension holes? Anything else you can't put in consignment, you still have to stall.

wrong...I'm guessing you have a wireless router at your place if you think that. You see a different IP on all the computers connected to the router, however that is your INTERNAL ip address, valid only in the network. When your router sends a request on the internet it always uses your EXTERNAL ip which is the ip given to you by your ISP. So when 2 or more computers connect with sro they are using the same IP.

I kind of disagree here, I like it that sro has such a huge cap, what i don't like is the high number of ppl capped and the incredibly high number of people botting/plvling to get to cap...makes the game lifeless, luckily its better now but the situation is still mostly the same. People have spent so much time botting plvling that I doubt if most of them even remember that mmorpg's are supposed to be about more than just reaching cap to pvp...

you must have a really poor isp then, besides most isps don't install routers. atleast that's how it's done here. My isp has some nice arangements with RIPE though
