Hmm, dunno what to say. Java should just work as long as you have it installed. Your options are to try another browser or to use an IRC client.

I recycled the link from chat because we never seem to make it work well.

1. A hype about chat begins and people actually use it
2. Dbags get into chat and chase everyone else off
3. Chat loses its hype and people stop using it
4. And then no ones ever in there
5. And then for some mysterious reason chat doesnt work
6. Chat goes ignored for some months.
7. Goto step 1.

get non-dbags to be chat mods?

as for the rest, that's how it always seems to work for IRC. Why chat in IRC if I'm typing in game - then I'd rather use Ventrilo or TS or Skype or something. I can't chat and hand grind at the same time!
