A new legit movement?

Without the right dedicated players, a new movement doesn't stand a chance.

After thinking about it for a while i decided my answer is no and the reason is every Isro movement has eventually failed whether it be in a month or 6 months. The only movement to ever survive is on Ksro where there are even a few capped people so im gunna stay there since i know i at least have a chance at getting to the cap.

Hitting the cap isn't enough for a movement to be successful. Simply because you may as well go legit on a server and solo to the cap all by yourself, what would have been the point? I personally don't consider kSro as a success, you're only one or two parties of high levels and it's proven to be near impossible to start a good wave there. A successful movement is, in my opinion, a movement like the Venus or TSRO one, where there was a constant flow of new waves, and where guilds were almost self-sufficient.

And for your information, the iSro movements like Gaia or Iris or Hera did just as good as you are doing. I take it you consider that the movement "dies" from the point it's left with one single handful of elite players and is no longer recruiting. Well in that case, your movement has been dead for a while as well, with a few tries to bring back new waves that were quite unsuccessful.

I think the priority of people that want to go to "movements" is to have a chance to be high level and hit the cap; they want to have people they can hang out and grind in proper euro party (which most of people never done before). I dont want to make drama with legits and not legits, convert server into "Legit heaven". Why? Because it has totally no impact on me, nor my life. Its just a video game, and I only care about my little group of friends.

Thats what my priorities are, cant say about the others, but I think we share the common ground.

I'd rather trust tsume as he seems to know more people, no offence to you. Then it also comes down to commitment.

Also, Nitro, I still think most people want to play for the community, not for the training and cap. Anyone can look up and install a certain emulator (not sure if I'm allowed to mention it here) and get themselves capped on it. The levels are no fun without other people to play with. Even botters "play" to compare themselves to other botters, at PvP etc, not just to hit the cap.

And I agree the community should be the main concern if we are to make a new legit movement. One of our main differences with the botters is that we play as teams, and that part of being legit was what made Venus so successful.

Anyway, seeing that the last server only came out very recently, yeah I think Aztek would be our home server.

Well I still don't wanna be a leader for this, it takes quite some effort and I don't have the time for that. But if tsume or anyone else doesn't want to, I guess I can take the initiative to lead for the sake of getting everything set, just for the beginning.

Server Aztek starting this saturday, how's that? I'd be a tank. Remember the ideal set up is 2 tanks 1 cleric 2 wizards 1 warlock 2 bards (not really necessary for starting), or a rogue replacing one of the tanks.

You've been a soldier Glenna, you understand better than any of us how much more important Silkroad is over life, the words "committed" and "loyal" come to your mind when you hear "guild", and being part of the military surely you are a militant player.............. *persuasive*

So, Im up for this.. New server? sure. I havent much to lose.. and Im willing to give up whatevers needed for the sake of the last remaining legits..
If anyone is willing to step up and help along side in getting a new movement going, that would be great... Im 100% for it.. And even if it doesnt go so swell, in the end i'll know we tried.. Its better to say we tried, than say we never did..
I go back to about 2007 in this game, i have put too much into it to just call it quits yet..

I do remember you, and yes it was at Iris we played together.

Despite what I said about me not going to join a new server I would like to say that I'm definately going to join if this really gets going. However, I've joined many of these new "waves" and none of them really work out very well. Indeed, we need a guild leader BUT we also need a handful of other dedicated people. Also, as you guys already discussed, we would need to all start at nearly the same time. Else it will just end up in power lvling etc. (drama, drama, drama).

So yeah, what I'm trying to say is, that I'm up for it but it requires a lot of work and I don't know who is dedicated enough to run such a new legit movement.
