So this is the story:

my girlfriend of 9 months is atm at the funeral of her grandfather
my mom is atm at the funeral of her uncle

my girlfriend just txted me that she met my mother there. :( :(


so i'm relative with my girlfriend ._.


i never had any ideea.. i guess from now on it will be really awkward...

what whould you guys do in this situation?


l.e. : they already talked and it turns out that my mom is kinda of my girlfriend aunt

Why?
I hardly know my family members aswell, besides direct family (sister / dad etc).
I know who my cousin's are slightly from when i was .. 4-5 or so.
Some families are less close than others eh?

her dad (my mom's cousin) divorced her mom like 14 years ago and he moved in another city..
even my mom said that she didn't talked to him for like 10 years..

My best friend and I are first cousins. For like, a year and a half we didn't even know we were related. One day she was going through her family tree and figured it all out. It was pretty surprising.
Nothing happened between us though, so it's a different situation. But still, it is a bit shocking.
