He decided to camp in his base with missile turrets so I decided to roach drop the back of his base rather than go for mutas, the overlord I sacrificed missed the starports by like 2 feet, so I had no idea banshees were coming. Normally I go mutas, but roach drops are fun lol

It's stronger than roaches in zvt as it shuts down drops, shuts down hellion harass, and banes roll over marines. The only problem is thors, but you can out maneuver those/kill with lings/magic box.

I wish banes rolled over marines. All it takes is stim and some spreading micro. Marine Tank is so deadly.
ZvT is hell right now in mid-upper diamond.

Wow, 4v4 is so awesome and annoying at the same time.
My team defeats 3 opponenents, they leave. Out of nowhere, a single Protoss with at least 40 Carriers appears, annihiliting everything in his way, so we lose. I swear to God, this happens in every match.

Spoiler!

I always lose 4v4's when some nub decides to tech and when the other team gangs up on one of you, he replys: "Got nothing, DTs in 2 minutes".

I always win 4v4's when allies actually gank 1 guy.

4v4s and 3v3's are about massing then ganking.

honestly think i'm just going to 14 hatch out-econ then overwhelm in mid-late game up to gold at least. nobody in bronze/silver seems to know how to handle the early hatch in the slightest. the few gold terrans i played tried to bunker rush but they didn't have the micro for it :sohappy:

If you can survive the early game, hatch first builds are definitely the way to go about playing Zerg except on super small maps like Steppes. Though in Bronze/Silver you might want to watch for cheeses like 6/7pool, cannon rush, proxy rax thought I'm not sure if that's still going on.

going to start massing games here soon to up my league. in the bronze league it's just a bunch of kids sitting in their main who don't try to expand ever, and against silver/gold players i've been getting a few cheese attempts but scouting makes it pretty easy to deal with on most maps. i've got steppes DQ and jungle thumbs downed.

What the hell do I do against carpet storm as terran?

I have a pretty big marauder ball w/ medivacs, a few marines, some tanks, 2 ravens, and 4 ghosts.

They have equal size toss ball with stalkers, zealots, immortals, a few sentries and 6-7 high templars.

I get owned =\ It's insanely micro heavy to put down PDD's, move out of storms way constantly without leaving tanks there to die and EMP all at the same time. The toss only has to put up sentry damage reduction and lay down the storms..Not much micro needed for them at all.

mid/low diamond btw
What do

is this just lack of me hurting them enough early on? should I mech instead? The map I was on had the natural attached by a ramp with rocks blocking the other side. Effective drops were tough =\

Whats the best way to deal with Terran balls (3 Ms) as Zerg? Because if I try banelings they just drug away, if I try mutas the marines just rape me.

with enough banelings/lings/mutas/roaches you can take down an mmm ball. If they stim away, stop and move back and then reengage or push them into a corner. Position is very key in many fights, and infestors can help you pick off smaller groups of units too. Just don't skimp on the banelings. The key is to crush them with enough blings and then remake your army faster than they can and keep the pressure on.

Course it's very situational..but every sc2 game is.

Depends on his comp. If it's just straight up Marine Marauder Medivac, you should counter with Speedling/Baneling/Muta. You want to keep a scout on him via spread overlords, changelings, watchtowers, burrowed lings, etc so you can position for a flank. If you just try to hit him from the front, he'll just stim and kite. Flanking pretty much owns this with enough banelings. More marines = more banelings less mutas, more marauders = more mutas in terms of how many of each to build. If you have mutas, use them to harass. Pick off scvs when you can followed by killing stray supply depots, medivacs, and units. The more you keep him contained and trying to defend, the more time you have to drone up, expand, and just macro.

Burrowed Banelings are awesome ambushers too btw, just don't burrow them in obvious scan spots (IE, front of your natural).

Though, I don't see MMM much anymore mainly because banelings destroy MMM so easily.

Thanks for the advise guys.
I see that my problem then is micro, because if I have 2 Hachs and 2 queens I already feel full of things to do, (create larva, make drones, lings and watch the battle)
and doing all those flank stuff its impossible to me right now (not enough apm). Well il just keep practising. :soosad:

The map's bugged. There's a spot where you can place a building that is invisible. (Still visible on the minimap, but just can't see it on the game screen). Proxy pylons, cannons, etc, would have been devastating and overpowered if you couldn't even see it.

The real answer is to kill them before they get storm + amulet. Investing that much time + money gives you plenty opportunity to just go and kill them with your larger army of lower tech units. If you somehow fail to kill them or don't want to be aggressive off two base (assuming they're teching to storm off two base, if it's three base to three base that's really late storm and no colossus and you should just roll through them) then transition out of bio into thor banshee. Storms tickle thors and banshee rape everything on the ground, late game banshee harass with 6+ banshee kill a probe line faster than he can warp in storms/stalkers.

So I play with 2 friends every so often, atm we're doing games vs comps. Usually 2Hard and 1VeryHard, or 3hard. randoms.

We are Zerg (Me), Terran, and Protoss.

No matter what I do, I either get wiped out or barely survive the initial hit, as its usually 2 or 3 of their first armies hittin my base. I can't block off, and Im unsure what to do really to defend myself. Curious what my options are besides ask them to block off my base lets say. And I know they need to pitch in possibly as its 3v1 or 2v1 in that hit, but wanna know what I can personally do.

Bulk up on spine crawlers at entrances? Mass speedlings? Mix Roach and Lings?

I like zerg, but im wondering if they aren't able to really hold off this type of thing like other races. But before I give up on them for our 3vWhatever, I am curious of input.

Id personally like to move onto player matches once we feel confident enough, and curious if Zerg is even a good choice for a 3 person team or not. I feel it is if I knew how to use it correctly.

If your stuck 1v2 or 1v3 just try to die as slowly as possible, not much use in your frinds comming to save you, you just need to buy them time to screw the attackers over back home.
