Warlock dots, get them all?

Hey there,

I started a Warlock/Cleric. Grinding is fun and fast, but I have a question about the single target dots:

We have:
- Dot + burn
- Dot + poison
- Dot + bleed
- Dot + dull

Should I get them all, or just two (because you can only have 2 dots on 1 target) Getting 4 seems like a waste of SP to me, and Warlock is expensive enough as it is

Yeah I would stick with the bleed and dull ones, same for the AoE ones. Do know that you can get more than 2 on a mob by using the single ones on him and then use the AoE on a mob near him so he catches that one too. Atleast that used to work, I don't know if they patched it but I doubt so.

+1 to dull/bleed
bleed helps amplify the damage by a more significant amount while reducing hp minimally,
dull is helpful to decrease the opponent's attack potential and mobility

the poison and fire ones hardly get you any more damage

And the trick with the AoE one still works

I suggest taking the 3rd and 4th single target Dot and all of the AoE-Dots. You can stack all AoE-Dots on 1 monster then by using them on nearby monsters. That's really usefull for giant pts.

How do you wanna grind with only 2 DOTs?
Warlock is fastest grinder with his DOTs.

to save some SP i would skill all Single Dots and only Bleed & Dull AOE DOTs.

by utilizing the AoE DoT's
you concentrate on double DoT'ing the monsters then moving on to the next one.

With such a high spawnrate, the quicker way would be to single DoT 3 at a time then use an AoE on the group following you.
You'd save 2/3 casttime, mp and possibly sp as well.

for PVP you only need bleed and dull, but if you wanna grind faster, go get them all like you can see in the video above.

I'd rather get all AoE Dots and save SP on the Single Target ones. You'll need 4 AoE Dots, if you play in european pts regularly, which is at least for me, the most important aspect of making an euro character. They are not really supposed to solo in my opinion. In a good pt, you should be able to use your AoE-Dots without any breaks, maybe throwing in 1 or 2 single target dots once in a while, but you definitely don't need 4 maxed single target dots, at least not at the end. Until Lv.50 or 60, i'd suggest to take 4 or 3 single target dots, but after that they aren't really needed anymore, at least not in euro pts.

I guess it depends a little bit, if you rather play in euro pts or soloing. I'd rather save sp on the single target ones, as i don't level on my own very often, you probably don't have pts that often and save sp on the aoe ones.

I think I'll stick with the bleed & dull dot, and the aoe dots.
