MEXICO CITY -- Hermila Garcia, the 38-year-old chief of police of the town of Meoqui in the Mexican state of Chihuahua, was driving to work at dawn Monday when she was gunned down in her car by two individuals after just 49 days in office, reports La Opinión. Garcia was part of a new wave of women leaders in the state of Chihuahua, which has been become known for femicide and violence against women.
Yup she lasted a month and a half.
