Back to SRO.... I'm LOST !!!!

After playing more 2 years I stop playing a few years ago... Not sure exactly when but it was a month after Euro version was released...

So I want to come back to SRO...My problem is that so many things have changed...

I tought making a s/s fire/light nuker but looks like (from reading this forum) that I'll get my &@? kicked if I do not get ice buff...

So I go bich/lighting nuke + imbue and ice buff + 1 ice nuke?

I saw Full Force character... it is good?

I also saw bich/Fire/cold.... ahemm no transport from lightning, no speed buff, and you miss lion shout and the great light nuke.. I dont think so...

Going 70/70/70/70 is probably another real bad options... A friend told me well go Warlock.. Is that any good compared to a nuker?

Any advice or build suggestions would be more then welcome

Dont take the ice nukes. take only lightning nukes ( you can also take fire instead of lightning)

I dont think so... in my opinion fire is better as lightning. you can buy speed drugs, you dont need the shout and the nukes are the same. plus with fire you have mag defense, imune shield and fire wall.

Edit : Since I'm full INT do I need s/s to be that high? I won't make much damage with it.. or go hybrid and drop ice? Like a 1STR:2INT based character!

Any bicheon user needs bich maxed. The skills itself might not do much damage but when you use them with your imbue you will do dmg not that much lower than a nuke. Also with bicheon up to your level it's easier to knockdown your enemies and stats (from the chain skilltree mostly) will have a stronger/longer effect and have more chance to land on them.

But like gladiator said, personally I would go for a bich/fire/ice character. Or perhaps bich/fire and a mix of light/ice.

-Choose balance (pure str/pure int/hybrid (what kind of hybrid))
-Decide weapon (assuming you want int, sword/spear)
-Decide if you want to be able to tank/deal highest dmg possible/debuff etc

Then let us know and we can suggest a build to you.

- Either a Pure Int or Hybrid (dont care what kind of hybrid as long as I have effective nuke)
- Well sword/shield would be the best for me I think...
- I want to make highest damage for fast grinding but I also want to be able to survive in pvp...

BTW : MY goal at the begining was to be Fire/Light/Bich but looks like I need Ice... The best would be if I could get some ice but not leave Light/Fire.... But I will if it would make my character weak!

Well if you're really anal about having lightning high then your only option is 110 Bich/Light/Ice. If you could settle for less Light/Ice I advice you to look into 110 Bich/Fire with 80 Ice/30 Light. You get a good 50% snowshield, 10% mag dmg increase and 48% moving speed. On top of the high damage fire nukes.

I guess the 2 fires nuke own the lighting nuke anyway and fire imbue is much stronger then lighting so its as good as the light buff... also I could always use speed pot (wow they are expensive...)

I kinda like the 2nd build (110/110/80/30) tho I'm sure some people will say that it's weak and I'll get owned pretty fast in pvp... Crap it was less complicated when Ice had nothing good

I had a pretty high slightly hybrid int char. (like 3-6 lvl's of str max) And I was a bich/fire build with 60 ice/40 light. I did fine, so if you go pure and get 70 Ice/40 Light (sorry about that, it's 40 light for the 10% dmg/48% moving etc) you should easily be able to survive.

I don't really recommend going fire/ice as a bicheon char because you lack really high powered weapon (like a spear).

Yeah it's alot but this is what you need to have a good pvp/grind char. There are skills that you can skip to cut the sp cost but if you get the chance I'd go for all this.

Well you should be fine with 4 nukes (2nd/3rd/5th/6th book) but the 4th is really fast in casting so it helps by finishing off people or 1shotting that annoying LT wiz who keeps popping up.

Well the damage might not be that impressive it gives bleed as status to the enemy. Bleed increases the damage that you do on that and it gives them some dmg every few seconds so it helps alot.

This is more for grinding, it's faster than a nuke and it does pretty good dmg. It helps finishing off the annoying mobs that survive your nuke and have too little hp to waste another nuke on for instance. Added to that it looks sexy =p

You will get 1shotted anyways, with or without those lvls of str. You have phy def buff or ice/fire wall to take the first hit.

You need every combo in the end because both of the last combo attacks give usefull stats to enemies/mobs. You can focus on the 1/3/5 I think first (lightning chain should be the last, it gives bleed/division/impotent) but in the end it's adviced to max both.

I'm pretty sure you have to max all the former books to unlock later ones. Like you need max book 1 to get book 3.

They still get 1 shotted and you still can't move but there is a whole other way to use the walls. Let me find my pm I send to Tasdik about it and I'll post it here.

Ok about the walls. This is what you should use each wall for:
Ice against ints/warriors
Fire against str chars.

Why do you ask? Well,
A str char has low mag dmg so it will take him a long time to take down a fire wall but only 1 or 2 hits for an ice wall. In the time your fire wall is up you wont be able to get stats, knockback or knockdown. Basically it makes you immune while they are removing the wall. Same goes for an int char but with ice wall. Low phy dmg means they need alot of combo's/knockdowns to remove the wall while in the meantime you can be slapping them to dead and their snow is wearing off. And again you are immune to stats/kb/kd while you have the wall up.

Now for a warrior it's not smart to use fire wall. Sure it stops kb/kd and bleed/dull from axe combo. But it also immobilizes you and since a warrior can hardly take away the wall he will just be spamming daredevil and that other shit which basically makes you an easy target. Double daredevil crit or 2/3 crits in a row and you're down. Using ice wall will completely block daredevil, first hit will remove the wall totally but the 2nd hit will only do 1 dmg.

Oh, and for wizzies you gotta use fire wall ofcourse so you can tank the first hit and then take them out

haha I wonder why we NEVER used those strategy back in '07/08... I use to nuke from distance.. use ghost to jump 15m away and renuke.. then try to knockdown and make 2 quick hits then remove back and nuke again.. I use to hate those nukers when I was a glaive

I'll try to find someone kind enough to plvl me a bit... might help me to get a lot of SP which will help in later stage I'll remember to max those skills but I might wait a little bit and make sure all my principal skills are maxed before leveling "new" skills... Effect skills are generally after lvl 71 so I got plenty of time!
