My shield is BR 19 but it sucks, why?

Seriously.. I spent a fortune pimping the shield up (and sword) and after all that hard work I get nothing..
The shield is BR 19 and Sword has an extra BR 18(25%+) added to it.. It blocks shit.

On the other hand this guy had a BR 15 shield and a BR 6 sword.. he blocks more than me.. it makes no sense can someone tell me where I went wrong?

ok the BR on ur sword, im pretty sure that is for your enemy to have a DECREASED chance to block, not for your chance to block... not sure, as I don't mess with alchemy much.

BR 19 should block more than a BR 15 :\ maybe there are other factors involved? And usually you will notice your own blocks/crits less then the ones your opponent gets.

Yeah maybe your opponent had block on hes weapon maxed, which makes you br 19 the same as lets say a br 12 orso

several factors involved in this. Like it's been said, block ratio on a weapon only decreases the chances of that weapon being blocked by the shield. It seems your weapon's BR is quite low, a 6th deg weapon should be able to have up to 60 BR. Also the bicheon passive increases the shield's BR too. So you never know.

Yeah I took notice of that.. the BR on my sword DID lower his Blocks today, but still on his sword it only said BR 6... how could've he hit me more than I hit him..

its chance...you just have better chances, if you guys fought 1000 times then it would show better conclusions.
