tbh i don't think its the huge cap thats the problem here, the problem imo lies solely in the unbalanced races and the ridiculously ill-thought out game systems and leveling requirements, coupled with player attitude and Joymax's unwillingness to actually participate and try to improve the game in the last 4 years makes for one very nice recipie for disaster.

If I didn't find the classes and skills so much fun and unique in this game I honestly wouldn't play it. I don't mean just the euro dual classes but also the Chinese ability to meld together skills/stats together to create a wide variety of different characters.

I mean how many other games have classes like the Chinese nukers or provide the near endless possible hybrid combinations?

yeah... huge caps are such a turn off, if that happens with zszc and it's 10x rates you can guess how i feel about isro right... :palm:

Seems someone mentioned this before but... It'd be great if we could somehow get all of the legit members of the community, across all servers, together and declare our own unofficial cap. We can all just plan to get to lvl 60 or 70 and then stop leveling. Don't play with, or associate with, anyone above that cap.

Then pretty much anyone else that goes above that "cap" is a botter and would be banned. Pretty hard to enforce that community-declared cap though. If we could, maybe Joymax would see that "no one" is playing lvl 71-110, ever. That might prompt them to either remove that part of the game, or make it more accessible to the rest of us.

I'm not holding my breath.

Seems there has been some positive change lately. We'll see how it goes.

mate, i had never thought about that and let me tell you how i feel.

That is a beautiful idea! Wish we could pull it off tbh, would be seriously awsome, and getting to 60 with an euro is easy

I can't remember who suggested it before. I saw it in a post on SRF pretty recently. An unofficial lvl 60 cap would be awesome. I'm lvl 54 on my blader, so I'd actually be a high level for once!

Although I guess a movement like this would probably be better on a new server.
Missing the good times in SRO...

SRO:
1x, STR Blader (Thebes)
54, STR blader (Venice)
0x, INT wizard (Venice)
19, INT spear (Venice)
34, STR rogue/bard (Venus)
0x, STR blader (Venus)
8x, INT bard/cleric (Gaia)

Brilliant idea.

On server choosing, I doubt it would matter on the age of a server. As long as everyone joins one server, that would be good enough. Every server is going to be on the horrendous level, the new ones are going to be as much alike as the older servers, sooner or later. But, possibly an already intact community that, which can help any new player to start would be a good idea. In this way it can 'jump start' the ideal community.

It's really hard to see this working as a lot of people have attachment to their servers for various of reasons. Although, if people see it as just a way to experience party play aspect of Silkroad Online, and not see this as a new permanent home, but a second home, this idea could be very possible. The selected server would be known as a legitimate playground and with the level cap, it wouldn't become an 'elite' society.
