Smoking is disgusting. Your clothes are smelly, your teeth become yellow, you start coughing every morning and you can't do any sport activity because you get tried after 5 minutes or so. It's not just stupid and overrated but destroys your body aswell.

Back in high school I did it when I was 17 just because it felt like the cool, badass thing to do. Then I turned 18, realized it's overrated, and stopped. Actually my whole smoking lifetime lasted about a month.

Having said that, I actually do smoke. Granted, it's only the 100% pure tobacco without any of the addictive additives in it and what not cigs, and this is only done about once a week. I started smoking about 6ish months ago. In total, I think I've smoked about 1 pack, maybe a little more, Which I think is decent, and I never smoke alone, only with my best friend and/or brother.

I pity chain smokers. It's such an expensive way to die young.

One of the things I noticed about a lot of people here is that they rationalize that their habits are less harmful than regular smoking (4-10 cigarettes a day?), therefore they are acceptable and gives them the right to talk above others. For the record, I'm not a chain smoker myself - I smoke probably around 0-10 sticks a week on a regular basis.

Then again, most people here are high school kids who still haven't learned the concept of personal decision making. I'll give it a few more years.

I've been a smoker for years now. It started as a social thing and just develops into something that you need. If I could roll back the clocks and start over without smoking then I'd definately do it, it's just part of me now until something/someone can convince me otherwise.

Just wondering if many of the posters here aren't from Europe, since in the UK and other places I've lived, smoking is quite an accepted widely done thing, whilst when I went to the USA it was shunned everywhere, especially walking down the street. Bit of a wierd contrast imo.

When I party/hang out with a group I sometimes smoke Captain Black cigars, and I'll smoke weed on the rare occasion.

weed does not have the same health effects as cigarettes though..and for some reason I don't inhale the captain black smoke into my lungs and none of my friends do either.

Hey, at least I don't say dumb childish things like "Epic fail lmao" at the beginning of my arguments. I really don't have a problem with whatever people want to think or do with their lives. I respect the fact that people make their decisions based on their own beliefs, therefore I try not to pass judgment. I really try hard to keep my thoughts to myself in most of these cases for that reason. The only thing that annoys me in most forums are condescending people like you who act all high and mighty for whatever reason - whether you're trying to compensate for something or you're just a self-absorbed d-bag is beyond me. I mentioned that I'm not a chain smoker to point out that I'm not really directly affected by his remarks but I simply did not like his attitude. And I never really rationalized my smoking habit as being a "non-harmful" thing or that it's actually moderate.

Anyway...you can say what you want after this. I'll just ignore you for the rest of the week. It's kind of pointless to continue. I don't like holding grudges against people so I'm hoping this mild hostility will pass over time. Bye =p
