I hate alchemy - quiting

Goodluck and don't quit!

So you mean he should continue throw endless of real money just to get a yellow glow on a weapon that is already pimped in its own normal state. Just to "beat" the game. The only thing he is beating is his own bank account. Unless Billion is a billionaire.

Considering this game is only combat based, and Billion obviously rapes at combat. I guess you could claim theres alchemy, but thats not even a skill you can level. However WoW actually has non-combat skills and combat skills, so he could of played *gasp* 120 months of WoW instead of wasting all the money on 1 spear to beat to beat the game.

If you waste $400 on this game, might as well switch to WoW and cut your losses. Team-based, quest-based, gear doesn't matter as much as skill or build does, etc.

I've spent approx. $200 MAX on this game. That is, since Item Mall has opened.

I have bought monkey, gold ticket, 20% attack / defense scrolls, res scrolls, reverse return scrolls, etc.

I have bought gold too, oh well to late to take that back, I was desperate. :roll:

That is, on almost, two level 70 chars. So I don't consider it bad, since if I wanted too, I could sell each char for more than $200 a piece. I take it as a profit.

well here's my advice if youre still reading this topic billion: i would say you should stick with this game, but if youre really spending this much money i would take a break from this game at least until the cap is raised, and if you find that you cant seem to stop spending money on upgrading your weps then i would probably stop. Regardless, dont keep trying to upgrade that spear. It is not worth 450 USD to get a lvl 64 spear on SilkRoadOnline from SOS +5 to SOS +7, especially when you know they will raise the cap, and you will lvl so much soon that youre weapon will become a thing that would probably sell for 75 USD or so max in real currency.

Then again, I've never spent a cent on the game so i wouldnt know how addicting alchemy can be.

Look at is this way, no offense to billion .. or others. But I have literally lost count of peopel who have QUIT sro cause of alchemy failure, I say goodriddance taken a gamble and lost 450 $ can buy you a +7 sos pfff with money to spare.

Almost all my gear is +5 with no astrals.

Including all 4 accessories. +5.

Accept for shoulder, boots.

Two items that pretty much drove me to ruin. I didn't stop and try a different item, because I already lost the typical 10m+ in stones each, and didnt wanna lose that money.

So say 10m in stones for both, is 20m.

Then say I've wasted 10m in elixirs and powders for both.

Thats 40m down the drain, and they are both +2.

I have a stack of 1-2-3-4-5 screenshots to show you, if I ever finish it.

But I just can't admit

These shoulders will never be +5 without astral.
These boots will never be +5 without astral.

Eventually I'll break down and stop trying. But I kept telling myself "It has to work eventuall, right?"

Nope. Not in 60-70 elixirs each. They just blow.

Plain and simple. For a little more money than I've spent, I coulda just bought SOS ones.

That Eldest dude is crazy, he actually sell NON-CCF silk and astral. poeple buy mad astral from him to +7 their weapon and he pay it all with his own money. It give me the creep when poeple +7 with hardearned cash, i mean one purple foggy light come up and jsut like that 5 bux is spent...... repeat it 30+ time....... seriouly go play another game, its look like you have a gambling troblem...

I decided to stay, had some "luck" with this spear. Put 5 str, 1 stone. 62% Phy attack, 1 stone. Then +5 with 5 elixirs. So along with many of your comments, i'll remain. Thanks alot.

Also, on the server the only guy that can beat me (60% of the time) is "had". And it's only because he's in full sos garment/shield all +7, while i'm in armour.

Otherwise, i'm pretty invincible at the moment. Which gives me more incentive to stay. But I almost accepted a couple offers in PM for the char, didn't expect to get so many PMs with realistic offers. :shock:

PS: I'm not giving up on making this spear +7. :banghead:

I know how you feel, I spent 60usd trying to +7 and failed from +6 went to +4 and never was able to get it back to +5..
I'm thinkin of just doing a ..... charge back and officially moving back to wow.
I started playing this shit because it's free, and ended up spending more than I would playing a few years of WOW

OMFG. Small thing, but I may as well rant in the right topic.
I wanted to up my spears attk rating, so I tried a stone. It went to 0%.
Not only that, but assimilated mag attk to 3%, which by a philosphy stone went to 0%.
To make a long story short, 3m later, 0% attk rating, and 60% mag dmg, up from 46%.

I HATE ALCHEMY.

I am Full farmed Pure int in Greece Server! Full SOS +4 set (accessory +4 set)with +7 Sword and +5 shield (br 20) !

All my gears is +5 str and +5 int! HP+400 FOR LEG, head and chest!
This cost me like 100 stone. Everyone in Greece should know who much Str stone worth!

btw, except 3 guys with SOS +7 or +8 glav can beat me in that server, nobody else can.

However, I thought about it later! Why, waste a lot on these stufff! and very soon the cap will rise! This month SOM will appear@! So stick with it!

EDIT: I'm happy enough with my no-silk luck.. I made a crit 13 lv 42 Glaive +3 with 3 elixirs, and Both my SoS sword and SoS spear +3 with 5 elixirs each.. I'm happy as they are. Not to mention the no-luck with stamina stones.. 4 which none worked.

Agaisnt the odd everyone think they will be the exception. Its not about the glow, or the +7 but its look like you think you will beat the odd. I would stop man. At this point your thinking if the spear doesn't become +7 all that money you spent is for nothing. I advice you to rationlize yourself. Stopping now is not "giving up" rather it show you have a strong character.
